Good to see. It never felt right him being there. Hopefully all he did was urinate in the sinks and write 'I love Saints' everywhere.

What an absolute load of rubbish.

Scored the most conceeded the least and play a very attractive brand of rugby, hence why the back three have scored so many tries.

Only Warrington and possibly Catalan play an 'easier on the eye' style of rugby.

Just because you have scored the most points doesn't mean the style of play is attractive.

It is extremely robotic, yet very effective, especially against the lower sides. One of the reasons you have failed to win the important games recently is your lack of a plan b. And the reason you have no plan b is that you are too structured in many ways and have no 'off the cuff' ability to fall back on. I can't remember the last time I watched Wigan do anything that surprised me.

And a saints fan finding something to call Wigan about doesn't surprise me either. You have your opinion and that's fine but i go every week and its great to watch these days with a mixture of aggression and a fantastic skill factor in the backs.
You have a point on the plan B though i'll give you that.

Don't get me wrong, what Wigan do is very effective and well drilled. The fact they are top of the league shows it is good enough to win most weeks. But the trouble is the top teams know how to defend against your structure in the big games and Wigan don't know what to do when it doesn't work.

I think that's a fair point tbh. Warrington are the best team that I've seen who can defend against Wigan's robotic style and it is no surprise that they seem to always beat them.

I couldn't imagine Matty Smith or Blake Green pulling something out of the bag, other than passing behind or hitting the dummy runner within their structure.

That statement from Wigan is enough for me to say we should stay well away from recruiting him as a coach.

He was a legendary Saints player, but as a coach he needs to set a professional and positive example to the young players. It would appear from reading between the lines that he was not able to do this at Wigan.

Not even a consideration this, Longy has issues and many of them off the field. Read his book/twitter if you think otherwise, I wouldnt want him anywhere near our senior team let alone youngsters. People have said he is a good coach and to look what he has done at Salford?! I'd need convincing!

A good player doesnt always make a good coach.

He had Salford playing their best attacking rugby with ball in hand in years last season.
