| 1. Lomax (a hard choice but amazing in D and pretty good going forwards)
2. Wilkin
3. Sia
Ade would have got in for his solid runs, but gosh he's got a case of the Meli's catching balls.

Not the thread for it really!
I can debate Lances contribution but he would not make my top 10.

It's always easy to be positive when you win. Hohaia clearly isn't the answer though, he didn't do much tonight, bar darting over close to the line which he's capable of in any position. He was being very silly in the second half around the play the ball, giving away a stupid penalty around the hour mark that could have cost us the game and putting himself in a position to be penalised another few times.

My MOM was Roby, by a mile. I thought, especially in the first half, that his little faints, his little step'n'passes were what really got Wire on the back foot. He also led alot of the hustle defence.

Jeez. It's only 11pm! Most fans will be out on the razz.
I would like to have seen Gaskell play tonight, behind a pack that actually DID something for a change. I tried to look for the benefits brought by Hohaia at 6 and could not see them. I could see what he can bring - his step, his pace and no doubt his experience. But he is just as effective at 9 in those areas.
Gaskell is also a superb goal kicker and can kick drop goals. He has also put in some great kicks for tries.
I am just as disappointed that Gaskell and Makinson did not play tonight as I was last night. I still want them both in the team. I still think both could enhance the team. In Gaskell's case, he could benefit from having someone with experience as a halfback partner even though Wilkin isn't a natural halfback.
So while I have never claimed it to be 'a disgrace' that Gaskell was dropped, I still think it is unfair on the lad and I still think he should be in the team.
Others may feel similarly to me once they get back from the pub.

Agreed, I thought he was overall neutral - some very good things and some very poor things (defence).

I thought Gardner played well, took some good high balls, took the ball forward well, as always, and came up with a great shot on Hodgson.

| Sia was a machine last night. Took the ball up with good hard agressive running and his defence was bone crunching at times.
How sia isn't getting picked for the kiwis is a joke. He was the best backrow in the country last year and is back on top form this year.
