I don't know to much about royce but i have a bad feeling about him being next saints boss. I know he's worked under sheens for last 7yrs but he's not been 1st team coach since 2001 and that wasn't great.

Maybe he's learned alot off sheens over last 7yrs but IMO Taylor was taylor made for saints job.

Since we have no idea who were the other three candidates, Simmons could have made himself look a bit desperate if we go and choose someone else. Oh, and all the media types would look total plonkers as well, which I have to say I would rather like.

I can't say I like him for the job either. I think our standards would have dropped if we chose him, regardless of whether the board 'liked what he said'. We need to keep up the illusion that we are a winning team and I don't think Simmons panders to that at all.

I feel we might be dropping down a peg or two by getting simmons in for potter.

As i said tho, i don't know enough about him but have a bad feeling.
