He must have filled out a bit and gained some strength (he looked like he had the frame for it). I mean, the kid never let anyone down when he played first team. Far from it. Indeed, it was a bit of a surprise when he disappeared into the aether - never to return.

According to an interview I read in the RL press last season, Potter had advised him of some weaknesses he needed to address and that was why he lost his spot. He [Armstrong] wasn't being bitter; just stating it as fact. So from that I would assume that Potter didn't think he was ready to play at first grade.

The rumour mill had it that it was a contractual thing ....

Not seen any of the u20 games but if he's playing well enough it would be good to see him in at centre against the French.

Before the Challenge Cup game on Saturday Saints play Wigan in the under 20's game which was postponed on Good Friday. If we call up to many of the under 20's to the first team then we stand a chance of losing our unbeaten run in the under 20's league to Wigan.

I reckon we need as strong a team as possible against Toulouse as we need to keep those who are fit, match fit, ready for Leeds.

Not to sure, a lot of our stand out reserves from last year have gone out on loan this year to different clubs in the lower leagues. There's at least 7 or 8 of them at different clubs and then there's Ainscough playing at Cas.

11 of last years team are either on loan, injured or have moved on. It's a very young U20 team at Wigan this year.
