I think he should be give a good rest to get fresh for next year but IMO should start the season just as all the other guys should.
I'm sure jammer will get enough rest and be back for start of super league.
Roby is same, he should get extra time off as with graham but wilkin should report back same time as the guys who ain't played for the country.
He's had last month off really and some might say he's had a years rest
He was outstanding. He really got us rolling forward especially in that first 20mins and was our main man imo during that spell even though Burgess and Eastmond took the glory. They got their room on the back of his good work.
To think he got slammed as having a poor series on the VT last night by Damo(think thats his name) Thats taking club biad way too far.

To be fair jammer has looked very tired in the four nations but was back to his best last night.
I just hope we can keep tony p, fozz, maurie and bryn fit so we can spell jammer more or he's going to burn out pretty soon.
IMO the best British prop and one of best props in the world.

| He's matured this year Graham. He was outstanding last night and it's a shame about the pass he threw for the Aussies first try because that apart he led the front row last night. He is without doubt England's premier prop now overtaking Morley and Peacock.

| Graham was my England m.o.m. last night.
I haven't looked on the Leeds board yet but I'll take a guess that they'll be blaming the two halfbacks for the defeat.

Yes and no. They are coming in for some stick, mainly because the Weasle wasn't in there.

The is no way the blame should be put on our young halfbacks but IMO they shouldn't have played as our halfback pairing.
All our plays was from sinfield at dummy half which makes it easier to defend against.
The Aussies halfbacks have played many games in nrl and at international level but ours hadn't played enough at super league level.
It will do our young halfbacks the world of good playing together against the best teams in the world.
I'm sure they will form a top class halfback pairing for next 10 years which is great for English rugby league.

| It will be a lot better when both players can actually play as half backs and not with one on either side. May as well just call them centres if their just going to do that. Plus on top of that Tomkins has defended on the right side all year whilst Eastmond ended the season at Saints on the left, so why you'd have them defend on the opposite side is baffling, simply crap coaching from Smith in both cases.
On topic of Jammer, yes he was good but its certain he'll be burnt out like Fielden was at this rate. Will Burgess be the same and look as knackered as Graham has looked in a few years time? Highly unlikely, the Aussies will spell him like he should be.

18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
I think his passing is something that he needs to look at. He seems to have developed his game where he likes to be abit of a ball player and thats fair enough because it does cause opposition sides alot of problems at times but he needs to be abit more selective about it.
There must have been 4 or 5 occasions throughout the tournament where his passes went to ground or were intercepted.
As for him being burnt out i agree that he needs a rest. It would probably be in Saints best interests to let the lad have a real extended break now and bring him back in maybe just for a couple of weeks before the season. He seems the sort of lad who'll look after himself anyway.

I haven't dished out any stick but the feeling from some( and they have a point) is that to say our forward had the aussies on the rack at times the halves created very little! the pack gave them the platform and they did very little with it.
G1 made the point if mcguire had played like tomkins did there would be a 23 page thread on how crap he is?
they are young lads they will learn or get used as the scapegoat and dropped after the honeymoon period has passed.

Apologies for being a bit pedantic, but I don't remember the Aussies scoring from it. Thurston got away & passed to Inglis, but i'm sure they didn't score from that set.
Anyway, it doesn't matter.
Graham was excellent, but i agree with whats bein said, he's heading for burn out.

They scored from the last play of the set with Morris going in at the corner.
