But why delay it? If he's going he would want to give himself as much time before the next match as possible, assuming he's staying with us until the end of his contract.

I'd love it to be like the old days, when watching Saints was like watching WWE Wrestling on TV. A big announcement pre game against the Wire and then a rip roaring performance from him and the team to send them home crying again. No, he didn't. He said he'd make his decision last week, the lack of official word leads us to believe that a) he's still having difficulty making his decision or b) things are taking time to happen behind the scenes with contract negotiations etc.
