Will we ever see him play fullback for an extended period though? He should have been there developing over the last 2 years and could be an international quality fullback by now. But instead we're okay because we've got Wello, and he doesn't drop the ball many times.

Whilst he's been decent at wing, I don't see how this proves him to be the FB next year or the year after.

to be fair, the basics of full back are simple

Can he catch a high ball - tick
Has he good positional play - tick
Can he tackle effectively - tick

plus he's got bags of pace and can beat a man. He's a big attacking threat, Im not saying he is definitely our next FB, but he's got the skills to do it IMO

Foster achieved much more and looked a much better player in his first year in the team than Makinson has to date. This is a completely nonsense comparison.

Foster IS a quality player and his time will come

He's a quality goal kicker. Apart from that he is average at best.

he's coming up 22 and is still developing - he will beef up, grow up and then we will see how good he is

last season, due to injuries to senior players Saints were forced into playing the kids and they did a great job so let's carry on the good work

Foster isnt even stand out at reserve grade level. Appears to have this "ive made it attitude" the hairdressers deco tells you all you need to know about him. You'd think he was a veteran test player. No speed or size, heart of a gnat but can kick goals. Can go tommorrow for me, Swift, Jones & Percival all better players without the side show. Seems to spend more time on the golf course than the gym or training pitch. Not seen anywhere near the desire to get back into the first team as I would have envisaged.
