The raiders average gate is around 2000 fans, so I would estimate around 500 to 800 travelling fans. Saints fans need to support this game to give Des there chairman some cash from the game, he's believed to be going into a cash flow problem. |

We took at least 1,200 to Cas, 3,500 to the Northern Rail Cup final and 4,500 to the Grand Final, so as I said, upwards of 2,000 WILL be going to Knowsley road. In last years Challenge Cup match at Craven Park vs Wigan it was a sell-out of at least 6,500, with Wigan getting just 1,200 tickets.
The local soccer team Barrow AFC won the FA Trophy at Wembley last Saturday and took 8,000 fans. They took 8,000 across to Sunderland for the FA Cup as well. Their average gate in the Conference is 1,300-odd.
The point being that when there is a big game on, the Barrow public turn up. As they would if the RFL ever gave a Super League license to Cumbria.

Lol - quite possibly, I reckon they are deep in thought about how much to charge - realistically £10-12 would be a sensible amount - if they go to £15+ its going to put plenty off. |
