I wouldn't read to much into last nights game, early on we tried to play fancy stuff but the passes didn't stick. On another day they may have done.

I think we were trying to get a big score in case there was any chance of Leeds slipping up.

Once the players realised that Catalan weren't going to roll over they knew it was a pointless game.

It's a clean slate next week, everyone fit, we just need to win two home wins to get to the grand final and then see what happens on the day.

Ive continually banged on about potter, ant one of us supporters could have done his job in the south of france with loads od aussies, hes not up to it, totally void of ideas, no tactic's, , no defence, and while we have him no Bl**dy hope, he sits there like a bl**dy cardboard cut out. Now the wizzard is coming back to leigh so why not steal him from them again?
On a serious note I dont think I will bother having a 600 mile round trip plus hotel fare any more all the time we have potter, I made that decision driving home last night, so I will just support them and watch them when they are on sky or what ever, I will return when potter goes.

Catalans did play well,cant hide the fact that we were embarassingly poor.
Another entertainment free eighty minutes from us again,unfortunatly that had nothing to do with how good the opposition were.

To be fair a few of us laughed hysterically when Gardner dropped the kick to him in the 2nd half. It summed up the night.

The had something Saints didn't last night, some pace in the side.

And some enthusiasm.

And they knew how to score tries.

And they read us like a book.

Strikes me that the Saints glory days are numbered. A lot of your top players are either gone, going or in the twilight of their careers.

Replacing the likes of Long, Cunningham, Sculthorpe, Joynt etc is always going to be hard, you've done well to have 13 years of success but its going to be a challenge to replace those players with ones as good. A period of transition is about to start - in fact its been going for a while. With luck you'll be better at it than my side but there's o denying it's going to happen and things will get worse before they get better.

Replacing Long and Cunningham is going to be a massive problem.
