Did Washbrook make contact with Ashe whilst he was in the air though?

| Yes he did and you can, a player cannot tackle the opposing player while in the air. Washbrook was going for the ball and there's no way that a penalty should have been given.
However, on the bias front... Stevo and Eddie?

Whereas I don't think he looked like someone taking a position to catch the ball. He shouldered Ashe mid air.
It was a 50/50 call at best and I think Ganson made the right call.
There was a real set to in the Sky box. I thought there were going to be fisticuffs at one point!

| I too thought it probably wasn't a penalty, but lets get back on track here, we're talking about Clarke's bias throughout the whole 80 minutes

| We all know about Clarke's love interest with Wigan. As for Eddie and Stevo, they were creaming when you started to get back in the game. Granted it was good drama, but I sensed they wanted the 'comeback kings' to do it again.
As for the final penalty, it's beyond me. Cost us the win IMO, was never a penalty in a million. Saying that, we should have never lost the lead in the first place.
Good show for the neutral and the game of RL, though.

I think most people on here would also think you should never have got that lead vis-a-vis the shocking forward pass that lead to one of KY's tries.
If the correct decision had been made there then the penalty debate is irrelevant
If you can't beat us at home with our team weakened beyond recognition, it says as much about Hull's lack of title contender credentials as it does about Saint's resilience.

| Quote: theres only one stan wall "Ganson pulled Saints for a few forward passes earlier doors. Both the Meli and Roby passes looked borderline, nothing in comparison to the one missed prior to Yeamans third try.
Excellent point though considering we went theyre with 9 missing. No other SL side would or could cope with such a crippling injury list, play effectively away games all year and still sit joint top. Ashe looks like yet another of the conveyor belt, some great competition when the likes of Pryce, Flannery, Wello, Lomax, Clough, Wheeler, Gaskell, Moore return.'" If that the case why do your lot boo a player that sign for another club ..Will you be booing the other player who has signed for the Aussie club

Debatable.
And for the contender credentials comment, we are still on a turn around of form as a team. Over Easter period we have got 5 points from a possible 6, against dobbins in the Hull derby, Wire and you lot. That's credible for any team and I for one hope we keep up our current form.

| I'm surprised no one has mentioned the worst decision of the afternoon and one which Saints scored from.
When Meli kicked the ball Whiting had his feet on the touchline when he caught the ball, and was therefore out of play. The head and feed should have gone to Hull but went to Saints. Roby scored direct from that scrum and got Saints back unto the game.
I thought I saw it that way "live" on t.v.
I've just watched boots n all the tries and that's exactly what happened. Whiting did not carry the ball over the touchline.

Er, that's because that is not what happened.
When he got the ball he then put one foot on the touchline followed by the other. He didnt have the feet there before catching the ball.
Hence, as usual, you are talking out of your backside.

Take your Saints specs off and watch it again.
Both feet are on the line when he catches the ball (I've just watched it again with mini). It should have been head and feed to Hull.

Its swing and roundabouts, sometimes they go your way, sometimes they don't. Hull can't blame the ref for not putting the game to bed when they were 18-0 up.
As for the contraversial penalty. Washbrook did put his hands up to contest the ball and, had a penalty not been given, I'd have accepted that, but he didn't get anywhere near the ball and Ashe came down face first. You can only really argue against a decision if you can't at all see why it was given.

| Rogues is spot on about the whiting decision and as regards Yeaman,I think you mean Briscoe, but if you look at that again in slow motion you will find that when he catches the ball his foot is just inside the dead ball line, watch it again.
