I'm not fussed if he stays or goes to be honest. Sure he has everything to be very very good player but it don't look like he wants to stay and no point in keeping a unhappy player.
I'm sure we will cope if he goes.

| Quote St pete="St pete"As I've posted already in this thread, I find it strange time for eastmond and saints to announce Kyle is leaving.
It puts a huge amount of pressure on Kyle and if saints have poor run some will turn on Kyle Saying he's not committed and we will be saying the club should not have played him.
For Kyle and the clubs sake I'd have thought they would have waited until later in the year to announce he's off.
He may well stay but the time to release it might have been better ( if he's leaving).'"
Perhaps it'll be announced that he's leaving with immediate effect. That way Saint's get a little cash for him which they otherwise wouldn't get if leaves at the end of the season. Plus it would save him from the onslaught he'd receive were to say he's going yet continue to play for you for the rest of the season.

If he has agreed terms with a union club then both Kyle and the union club would be silly to agree that he be sold.
The union club gets him free and Kyle gets a better wage as no fee been paid.
It will be a strange situation if he does say he's off at the end of the year.

| Forget all the hype, forget all the talk over his potential/class/talent ect the bottom line is that if he isnt going to give 100% on the field then he is letting himself, the team and the fans down and doesnt deserve to be there

| I'd hate to see a talented player go to Union. I hated it when Iestyn Harris, Walker and Lee Smith left Leeds. Thankfully for RL at least the last two were a failure and came back quickly.
I don't know how I'd react watching a player for Leeds who I know is going to leave to Union, because whilst I hear and understand the 'you'd do the same for the money' etc comments, I also believe these defections hurt my sport.
Anyway, I hope he stays and kicks on. Even if he does stay, he has a lot to learn to become a great scrum half - kicking game, passing gamke and timing his runs. In his favour, unlike so many he has the raw materials to make it though.

| Judging by the quotes, it looks as if he's going. The 'I'm contracted with Saints until the end of the season and I'm going to do my absolute best' says it all. I hope he's staying and that is just a comment to further push his negotiations with Saints, but I fear that we'll lose a great talent to another sport. Sad times.
I'd sooner him go to Wigan and that is saying something.

| Kyle was poor on Saturday.
I was trying to decide whether it was lack of interest or lack of fitness. I'm tempted to go for the latter.
Lack of interest would have explained the first 65 minutes, but when we were well into the comeback, there were time when Kyle got the ball and Wigan were on the back foot - easy pickings for a player of Kyles pace and power, but he still chose to pass. Even if he wasn't that comitted, the circumstances would surely mean you'd give it a bash, wouldn't it?
Let's see what next week brings.

Well, if it was the former, he wouldn't have done things like that try-saving interception which he tracked to the line.
I don't understand the need to slate the lad after his first full match following what was serious injury. His surgeon advised only 30 minutes game time for the Huddersfield friendly and that was only just over a week ago. I am amazed that he managed the full 80 minutes considering he has had two operations and that all the signals coming from Saints were that he would likely miss the first couple of games.
Once he gets back up to speed we will see him take on the line more, kick with accuracy and pull off great passes. He was rusty on Saturday but the hit out will have done him good.

'" You're right, which is why I think it either a lack of fitness, or perhaps just confidence in his body. Two things are causing people to over react imo - a)We have high epectations of Kyle and b)people are over critical becuase of the talks of him leaving.

I think you're right. Lets remember, he has probably had minimal preseason practice to get things right and half back is the toughest position in a lot of regards. Getting through a derby match against the champions in one piece would be enough to boost my confidence if I were him.
