Very true, it's just an unfortunate situation I suppose.

I read about that. 80% up on Widnes v Wakefield on opening night and up on the Grand Final as well?
Wowsers.

TBH, I had expected our first game at LP to be a sell out, however to put it in persective, 2 years ago at KR and certainly last year at Widnes, we would have been one of, if not the lowest attendance of those above, so to jump from that to the top isn't to be sneezed at. I hope we can average between 14-15K this year, but expect our average to settle down to something more like 12k in a couple of years time, which will still be a significant increase on KR averages.

| We'll struggle to hit 15k average now with the reduced capacity. But 14k is still doable, Catalan will be telling as the drop off will be as severe as it can be when they come to town.

| It only has to last up to say the Leeds or Wigan game to have an impact. If we sell 17,200, then it's had an impact, as we could have sold 17,201.

| According to the RLFANS.STATS page, the attendance against Salford in 2010 (last year at KR) was 7728, so we doubled that - but probably because it was the first League game.
The real test will be the Catalans game - in 2010, we got 8442 at KR, and that was played in July of that year. This year, with 10,000 season tickets sold, them not bringing a lot, being cold, not being on TV, and with a few walk ups, I would hope we get at least 12,000, which would be a very good increase in my opinion.
For the 2010 season, our average was 11,191 (for just SL games - not play off games). We had 2 x 17500 sellouts in successive games, and big crowds against Hull (in the fog, Sean Long's return) and Cas (last league game at KR).
For this season, I would expect sellouts against Wigan and Warrington, close to sellouts against Leeds (sunday game should mean they bring a few) and Widnes, and decent crowds against the 2 Hull teams who generally bring a good number of supporters. If we could average 14,000, I think that would be a brilliant achievement - almost a 25% increase from KR.

Funnily enough the Salford attendance was not too different at KR than it was at Widnes, there was a difference but not as stark as say the difference between Wigan at KR and Widnes.
