Well, I'd ask that question of pretty much all coaches because they all have been guilty of saying it, or words to that effect, at some point in their coaching careers; on TV too.

From all the players you've listed as me bagging off, I've also praised them. I always look at things as fair as I can. Sia and Roby are two of my fave players but I've also said they have been poor by there standards.


Put it this way, if I think a player or the team deserve praise I give it, if I think the team or player is playing bad I say it.

I say it how I see it. For example I stated I wouldn't have wello in my 17 at the start of the year and last week after the Warrington game I changed my mind and said if pick him for his heart and passion (not on ability) as we was lacking pride in the shirt and wello brings that in spades.

Yes however its the same people who give the same opinions under a different thread. As soon as you challenge these options that have been repeated 4000 times you get the same response, "I know the game better than you, Im mates with whoever, I've played the game (that always gets me lol) blah blah blah

So offer a different one, and keep offering it, until a verdict is reached/ something interesting happens to move us onto the next topic.

Attacking posters for having a negative viewpoint seems to be flavour of the month anyway, with quite a few threads derailed with "your not real fans, all you do is criticise, blah blah blah" and repeated 4000 times until the threads not worth commenting on - so is it not hypocrisy to claim that view? just a thought!

I think probably due to the fact that with no changes and a decent result last week there is little to talk about other than each other.

I can see this being the case till we hit Wigan again as the rest will be seen as games we should win, were as Wigan will be seen as a test of how we may do come the playoffs.

It's always the danger with a playoff system that people can in effect negate a result.

I agree with some of the things you say but posts like this don't help endear you to anyone. It's very childish to pick out 2 things in a post to jump on and then disregard the rest as 'a novel'. If you can't be bothered reading it all then fair enough, but if you're going to comment on it then read and counter all of it, or don't comment on it at all.

As far as the Salford game goes, I just hope we can keep up the momentum and capitalise on Wigan slipping up to give us a bit of breathing space. I don't mind underperformers like LMS playing in games like these, as it's a way to prove himself and play himself into some form without as much risk of costing us the game. If he still isn't showing anything by the time we're playing the better teams, THEN drop him.

On another note, difficult position for the TV game tonight (in work so can't make Saints unfortunately). Wire win and we can go top, however I have to live in this place and properly despise seeing them win! Let's just hope for a war.

A punch up would do nicely. But can't see Warrington winning this one.
