Having dedicated family areas also helps segregate the young kids into a special area, this prevents other fans from being annoyed by having fidgeting screaming kids sat next to them. As well as offering some protection for the kids in terms of being exposed to course language or drunken adult fans.'" ]
that's the main reasons we decided to move to the family area! That and the fact the seats where cheaper and we could get free seats for the children.

We aren't going to have a 'family area'.
We are going to have the Typhoo Family Area.

| For me the match day prices need to be a bit more fluid with next year's target to try and fill the ground on as many occasions as possible.
I`d be making the wire and wigan games and first game a premium ticket and making at least one or both of the quins or catalans games and any duff challenge cup games very cheap 10 - 15 all tickets.
In fact if you think we can pretty much guarantee a full house for the first game I`d definately ask for one of the lesser supported teams.
But all that aside the cost for a family to "walk up" to their first game in RL is expensive compared to other leisure activities.

Yes if you look back at the HJ opening for dire vs wakey, it turned out to be their biggest ever gate so far at the stadium. In fact they sold too many tickets and the capacity had to be reduced slightly thereafter as it was deemed unsafe.

| Interesting points raised a question though ? having allocated about 4000 in the away terrace and having called it the away end. would saints allow home fans in there ? i would like to think so if needed as certain games ie the quins it would look dead, although the question then is would extra saints fans want to watch this game, just a thought ?

Of course home fans are allowed in, just like they are at Widnes if the away team isn't Warrington or Wigan.

| My point being with it being called the away terrace and going off the theory that the west stand would probably be almost full if not full with saints season ticket holders, would they just allow saints fans in to stand at that end not knowing how many away fans would be turning up ? it doesnt affect me im at the west end

The club will have an idea in advance which teams are likely to sell out the away end (Wigan and Warrington basically!) so will be able to sell tickets to Saints fans aswell, especially tickets for walk up fans.

| Thats good then because i do think we will have lots more fans wanting to try the experience and it would be crazy turning them away when theres an empty end. As iv said the interest at work from people who never go a game is very high, its going to be a great season

IIRC the 'away terrace' at Warrington does not have season tickets sold for it. A South Stand (home terrace) season ticket holder can exhange their ticket for an 'away terrace' ticket if they want to, apart from in the odd game (Wigan or Saints - although we have allowed this the last two years).
You may find that Saints go with a similar approach.

| Did a count last night of allocated tickets sold for North and South stands and came up with a total of 3853. The North was 2553 and South was 1300.

Not great numbers. They are unlikely to sell that many more now with the ever present grey cloud that is our GF record looming over us.

| So what's the estimate for total sold then? - A little under 7k???
If that's true then the club will be disapointed with that.
