Me and the people I know who comment on his posts are clearly in a minority. I don't find any of them funny tbh, rather just desperate attempts at humour and attention seeking. The post above illustrates that clearly.

Well I haven't read anything that hinted that Saints made him an offer to stay. Unless you know different? Either way I'm glad he has chosen to join the Bulls next year. A proven coach in SL who has done a superb job during his time at Saints IMO.

Potter stated that he wanted to return to Australia, just as Daniel Anderson did two years ago. If that is the line he was taking with Saints then there wasn't much that Saints could have done, was there? I am only going on what Potter himself is quoted as saying. He said it a few months back when it was first announced he was leaving at the end of the season. That he has ended up with Bradford could either be because that is where he wanted to go all along or because nothing came up in Australia. Or it could be that he wanted to stay with us but we didn't offer him a contract. I've no idea. I'm just going on what was stated by Potter himself on the Saints website at the time it was announced that he wouldn't be staying.

Reading between the lines it looked to me that the St Helens board didn't make a big effort to try and keep him at the club though. He obviously wasn't that desperate to leave the country if the Bulls managed to convince him to stay for a further 2 years. Not that I'm complaining, because we've secured a fine coach for next year.

Two years ago Daniel Anderson left for Australia. He said all along that's what he wanted to do. Did Saints do anything to try and change his mind? After all, he was our most successful coach. No idea. No idea about Potter either but Potter announced very early in the season (for someone who is leaving I mean) that he wanted to go back to Australia. It then all went silent until the rash of coaches leaving various clubs happened. And then all of a sudden he was going to Bradford. That sounds more like he either faked the intent of going to Australia because he wanted Bradford, having been there before, or he genuinely wanted to go to Australia but nothing came up for him so he took Bradford.

Either way, I'm sure he'll do well at Bradford because just now - no offence intended - you're in a mess. He appears to advocate a simple form of rugby league which should provide your players with a formula to follow and confidence will grow from there. He'll also integrate any young talent you have, which is the job he was tasked with at St Helens (and McManus was very specific about that when he announced his appointment). He has done that here. We had a talented group of young guys promoted from our 2008 grand final winning academy side and almost all of them now play regular first team rugby. But McManus' policy has been to bring on our local young guys wherever possible, partly I'm sure for financial reasons but also because he's a Saints lad himself.

Good luck to Bradford next year. It's not been the same without you!

You've quoted me there, yet i've also given Potter a lot of praise as the season has gone on but you fail to quote that yet i'm a 'Clueless, know nowt, knee jerk s'?

At the time i said what i did you quoted, it was correct. Also last season, we were boring and we were playing rubbish, so it was correct then to. This season though, Potter has done a very good job considering the cirucumstances, now get off your high horse and learn that people have opinions that differ from yours.
