I think you was missing someone more than you expected to. Long played very well tonight, I'm not saying he was the difference but contributed to it.
Your pack did look weak apart from Graham, but I do believe most will against our pack.
your still 1 of the 2 teams that will not be beaten by many. Do us a favour this season though get revenge on KR and beat them good.

We were well beaten by a better and more committed side and I thought that we had no idea going forwards. All the best to Hull, your fans were a credit to you and you did them proud.'"

thanks, its good to see a HULL side play like that after the dissappointment of the last 2 seasons.

Last year's corresponding fixture was Wire. That has been one of the BIG draws of the season for years. We've been waiting for them to beat us at KR for 13 years. So to compare that fixture with the Hull one is daft. While Hull brought a great following and I think the Saints fans turned out pretty well (although I never got to see the stand or the ground behind the sticks due to the fog), Wire and Wigoon are the biggest draws and last season we anticipated another brilliant match between us and Wire. Which we got.

This will be their year to beat us if we continue playing as we did tonight.

Saints v Hull 2009 attendance 13,684
Saints v Hull 2010 attendance 12,142

A drop of over 11%
Of course it's relevant, ask the bean counters at Saints.

I'm pretty sure he meant last years corresponding fixture against the same team? Hull FC.

Mon 13th AprilKO: 1500, Venue: GPW Recruitment Stadium, Att: 13,684

Compared to

Sat 6th FebruaryKO: 1745, Venue: GPW Recruitment Stadium, Att: 12,142

Which I make Over 10% ??????
And I'd like a little wager they brought more this year than last????

Isn't it weird how when a new stadium plan comes along, the club's directors seem to get a little distracted & they worry more about how many corporate seats/boxes they're going to need rather than a New FB/Winger/Centre/Hooker etc?

Mon 13th AprilKO

Easter Monday nice sunny afternoon against a foggy February Saturday evening icon_frustrated.gif ! However, I agree I thought our attendance would have been higher but I think the weather played a large part in not as many turning up. Also Hull did bring a large number of fans last year. I couldn't see how many they bought this year but I could hear them.

Last year in the Hull end there was quite a bit of room to stand in, this year it was absolutely packed, couldn't move, brilliant. Lots more hull fans there this time.

The Hull fans were fantastic. They were clearly up for the match, could probably sniff a real chance of beating us at home for the first time in a few years.

It was the Saints fans who stayed away and if Saints play similarly over the next few matches then more will stay away.

I think that was more to do with the weather to be honest. Hull fans would have already been on their way while saints fans would most likely have decided at the last minute that the match could well be off. The fog was very bad in patches. When I turned out I thought this match may be off - and it probably would have been if it had not been on SKY.

Mind you - by the end of the game I wish it had been called off icon_wink.gif

Think you were a bit harsh booing them off. Was really surprised to hear it when I re-watched it on Sky as I didn't hear it at the actual game it was so loud in the Hull end. Hull were always going to be up for it last night and you can only play as well as the opposition allow you to. I wouldn't be reaching for the razor blades just yet.

from a fc fan who was there last night, saints looked a tired outfit, totally lacking a leader, players who just arent upto it no more for a team who is regularily a winning outfit....wellens,cunningham are past there best, hargreaves and clough are mediocre alonng with foozzard who is way past his best.......devout of ideas, this is a serious kick up the ar*e for all who are associated with saints....
this not a knee-jerk reaction by anymeans, but facts dont lie, you looked bloody awful in patches last night, a side that used to wipe the floor with nearly all superleague teams in my opinion has come to an end, the domination of saints has halted somewhat....
a transitional period is what id call it, cunningham is set to go,long and sculthorpe gone, the magic traingle is ceasing to exist...........sort it out saints before its to late and we have another bradford on our hands.....you were second best last nite by a couttry mile, only scoring when fc were down to 12 men...time for potter to go?? maybe thats a tad early but the signs are not good im afraid
