I know it is, but it still doesn't mean that the wire fans want it any more than less than the Hudds fans imo. I doubt the fact they have been at the final recently would make a win mean anything less to the Hudds fans.

I disagree in that Hudds have in their very recent history a trip to Wembley. I just think that makes a difference. Wire fans have no such trip and not only that they have managed to seriously underperform for years. I think Wire fans will be up there among the Most Excited Fans Ever now that they have finally achieved something big because so many of them simply will not remember anything like it happening before, probably a bit like us when we made our first trip to Wembley after that 20 year drought we had.

We last won the cup in 1953 and haven't reached Wembley since 1962 - 2006 was Twickenham and that hell hole of a building site wont even come close to Wembley.

We will have to agree to disagree because I would have thought the excitement of the Hudds drought ending after so long would make there fans want it just as much personally.

Getting there and not winning could even be said to add to the desire to now go all the way and lift the silverware.

You sound like my Dad (he's 73 btw!). I think the law's changed these days and a body can support whoever they want. Of course had Wigan won at the weekend then I would have been joining you and supporting Hudds. As it is, they didn't (phew!), so I'll be a Wire for the few hours the match is on TV.
