Don't be silly Saints were finished when Goulding left 
Cunningham is an excelllent player but just like long he looks like he may be coming to the end of his career. His passing has been quite off this season. If he goes then Scott Moore will come back and it will be business as usual i think.
Wellens is a good solid player with a few years left in him yet. I am sure Lomax (or some one else) will be ready when he leaves too. |

Really is the end of an era, I am gutted about the news but I think that is a lot from a sentimental can't imagine him playing for someone else aspect. I fully understand why Saints only offered him one year and its a shame that wasn't enough for him but good luck to him!

Fair play to Longy, he will get a great reception when he comes back with them next year.
He owes it to himself and his family to get the best deal he can at this stage of his career, he has been a loyal servant to Saints and has given us some great memories.

There's no room for sentiment, dudes.
Long has been awesome for us, and will forever be remembered as a Saints great, however it's time for a change - and Longy's pension pot will grow a little, too.
