The point was someone mentioned Burrow as never having performed at International level when a Man Of The Series award might question that claim. |

Wasn't a dig mate, just that the Burrow point was made in response to the same accusation being levelled at Pryce - fact is they were both outstanding in that series, as were several others.
I have a horrible feeling that says more about the Kiwis that year than Pryce and Burrow though. |

That is a point I have made many times before.
IIRC the Kiwis had a lot of their top players missing for whatever reason for that series. |

We're not as good as 44-0 suggests and we're not as bad as our second half capitulation at the world cup suggests.
To be fair, we were absolutely abhorrent in the semi and still could have nicked it. The Kiwis certainly have the edge mental strength wise, they often get humped by the aussies in ANZAC tests but tend to perform well when it matters. |

Suprises me how much fuss everyone is making about the passing back moment. I seem to recollect a few seasons ago now we made quite a few back passes, if memory serves me correct we were back inside our own 20 at one time, then it went Wide to West. Brilliant when it comes off. Awful when it doesn't, but doesn't that describe a lot of Saints play.

The difference being that was the last play of the game when we were losing so had no other option, not half way through a game when we should've been building pressure and sticking to our game plan. |

Who was voted man of the tour when GB went to Australia in one of the early tri nations? In fact, not sure it was formally called tri nations but its the tournament where GB played a 'select' side as a curtain raiser to Aus v NZ final. |
