So am I. But it depends on how many they release. The only confirmed departures so far are Shenton and Flannery and their salaries are certainly going to be swallowed up by Manu and Turner.

We should really have had a cull and got rid of the likes of Wello, Gardner, Meli etc to free up some funds to start to rebuild a squad, but that's still clearly not a priority for Saints. I think that behind closed doors Saints are perfectly happy with maintaining a top 5 finish and being respectible. I don't think there is any major drive to win trophies again.

RL is just too sentimental to see clubs get rid of players like Wello. Personally I hope any extension for Wello is given with reduced salary and the understanding he wont see as much game time. Believe we did something similar with KC when Roby was coming through. If we are going to bring youth through and rely on it you have to give them proper opportunities.

I hear that there are a couple more recruits on the horizon from a certain SL club, dont have any concrete names before I get inundated with PM's.

I think it's a reasonable bet that quite a few Salford players may be coming onto the market soon. It's just a pity that most of the very few players they have that might be worth a look for us would count on quota though.
