I'm a very happy person who loves a top laugh with the lads and enjoy my life very much, in fact I wouldn't change anything.
What I don't like, is being lied to or messed about when I pay hundreds and hundreds of pounds every year at saints RL and then they show total lack of respect towards fans.

| Blimey theres a lot of anger here , lets all have a group hug take a deep breath and relax , I have never dealt with ANY organisation who are perfect and as was said , sorting 8000+season tickets means mistakes will be made, at least the club are saying if you dont get your tickets in time let us know, so I would imagine they would make arrangements for you to get in somehow , I doubt very much if anyone said "Oh weve got their money so stuff em!!" we are ALL fans including Mr Mac and I am pretty sure they would like happy fans and not totally ed off ones , so cut em some slack guys eh?

The ponit us they told us we can collect them on the 1st, fair enough if they are few days late it's no big deal but they found have tried to let the fans know they ain't ready!
I very nearly wasted my time going, I know four peope who did actually go down there. Some people might have even paus fir bus, taxis, cR parking or lost a hours pay to finish early to collect them.
I know they couldn't ring everyone but they could have posted it on the saints website, twitter or Facebook.
It's not hard really it just takes a little effort and respect.

| I am sure the vast majority of ST holders have got or ben posted their tickets with no problem I know Mrs G and I collected ours on Sat , but I suppose its true what they say " when you do something right nobody remembers , when you do something wrong Nobody forgets!!"

To be fair, that's how it should be.
It often frustrates me how amateur sports organisations are with their customer service.
The retail operations are one of the biggest money-makers within each of the clubs in Rugby League, but they are often run and staffed by minimum wage staff with little training.
I haven't followed the full thread, but basically if St Pete hasn't been given the service he has been promised, then he has every right to complain, no matter what anybody else says.
Every single year we have these kind of complaints, whether it is about ticket sales, or shirt sales. Considering these revenue streams bring in massive amounts for clubs, you'd think they would either be spot on, or manage them in a more professional way when things do go wrong, rather than having the customary 'old dear' in the shop being rude to people.

Saints are probably nervous about the first season with a new system in place. The book is simply back up. I reckon next season it will just be a swipe card.

| I think people need to remember that both the Widnes game and the training event are little more than exercises to help get the safety certificate, they aren't major events.
I would expect the first home game to be promoted as the 'Official' opening.

I'm not entirely sure he was 'promised' any of the things he is complaining about but regardless of that, yes you are right, he does have a right to complain if he feels he hasn't received the service he thought he should, however surely it would be better for all involved if he were to complain to the club themselves directly and give them the opportunity to explain their side of the story rather than come on here and get on his high horse and keep repeating the same diatribe without knowing the real facts. Ignoring the fact that the same idiots he complains about running this so-called shambles of a club so poorly and who don't give a monkey's about the fans have just built us a fantastic new 18,000 capacity stadium during one of the worst economic periods this country has seen.
For the record I don't recall an incident in my own past dealings with the club when I have felt let down by the service I have received whether that is buying merchandise or tickets from the store or via the internet. If I have been concerned about a particular issue, such as when I bought a heritage shirt and the colours bled in the 1st wash, I have contacted the club and asked for clarification on what I can do about it.
I know Saints have come out today and clearly stated that if you don't have your swipe card you won't get in, however I'm sure that if there had been a real issue they would have provided an alternative.
I can't help but wonder sometimes how we all got on in the days before the internet!
