That drop-goal attempt by Hohaia was possibly the most amateur thing I've ever seen in Super League.

I dunno, I think the attempted "tackle" on Lunt for his schoolgirl's try was pretty amateur.

Wasn't that the fault of Amor? Hohaia and Roby did all the tackling tonight.

Yes, I wasn't blaming Hohaia for that one. Just saying there were quite a few amateur hour moments on that pitch tonight - Hohaia's drop goal attempt, Walmsley's PTB and attempted tackle, Amor's missed tackle, Silverwood's brainfart....

Which one? (On several) - you can add Wellens knock on to the list as well...

Just bare in mind that Hohaia would never be our chosen DG kicker normally. Walsh, Wilkin and even Lomax seem to be our main kickers and all are injured. Not sure how we hung in there tonight, I assumed that we were done when Cudjoe scored.

I honestly think Walmsley did nothing wrong tonight. There was nothing wrong with the tackle as he hit him head on, and as Sky said, the play the ball was fine.

The tackle wasn't malicious (you could see Walmsley was worried he'd hurt Burrow afterwards), but it was clumsy. Bottom line is that you have to avoid contact with the head, and the initial contact was with the head. It was a fair dismissal.

As for PTBs, Walmsley has a really big problem with them. He looks like a man who either isn't sure how to play the ball, or fears he'll drop it every time. The fact that it wasn't a knock-on doesn't mean it was "fine". How many other players do you know at that level who feel the need to think carefully about each step of the process of playing the ball so that it looks like every PTB is being dictated by someone from the sidelines : "Now, Alex, bend your back, then place the ball carefully on the floor, yes, that's right, with the pointy ends at the sides, now put your foot on it...." ?
