| Quote: Gazwire "that eastmond try- superb. i have to say that we seemed to control the game for the most part. your forwards were excellent though.
it's a really weird one. i felt we were the better side but we lost again- gidley who was back from injury was superb. even
meli caught his passes. jammer was solid and i think think his leadership got palutua and the rest of the forwards firing. '"
I think that's a neat way of describing digging deep. We were worse with the ball, making more errors than you; we lost our way a bit defensively as Kyle isn't Paul Wellens and we badly missed Wello's organisation of defence. But I think just after your final conversion was missed, the crowd lifted and Saints just dug deep, stopped the slide and found what they needed to win the match. Losing that match was not an option. They knew that! The hoodoo cannot be broken during our last season in KR!

Put it one way, he wont be going Sale. They're in a mess and are counting the pennies (Skint). The way Kyle keeps talking in the press it sounds like jis planning on staying around for a long time in RL as he always mentions the 7 jersey for England.
He'll also know that he will be on the wing if he goes to union and i dont think he'll like that one bit.

| I think you also have to take the current state of the English RU team into account. I mean, guys like Jason Robinson and Henry Paul had plenty of freedom to put their talents to use behind what was the best pack of forwards in world rugby. But today the English team is a bit of a shambles. Martin Johnson - who had plenty of mouth when it came to bagging guys like Brian Ashton - has proven to be a disaster. Considering he is an all-time great forward, he has demonstrated remarkably little ability to knit his pack into a cohesive unit. When they're not trying to barge through a brick wall of defenders the backs are pretty hopeless. The only player with any real aptitude for top flight play is Cueto, and he's past his best.
So if Eastmond has thoughts of becoming as big a name as Robinson he should forget them. Without a pack of forwards to protect him he'd get creamed time and time again. Not a pleasant experience.

| If I was a Wire fan this morning I'd be cursing "Kyle bl**dy Eastmond"
It seems unfair to to single a player out as man of the match when so many forward put in a big effort but quiet simply the reason we won and they didn't was Kyle.
The try was superb, his kicking in general play was excellent and the two touchline conversions in those condition were killers, especially the second one that put the lead back to eight points.

There's one thing for sure - they won't be queuing up to buy Myler will they!

| When he kicked the 2nd one off the touchline, I clearly seen Richie Myler in his pocket!
If Myler is worth 300k
Eastmond in the 1st £1million RL player
Just need him to sign a 10 yr contract

I don't know he kicks that often in general play I thought at one stage it was Rugger Onion when they had the ball. Every set was finished with a big high kick towards Gardner, did they not have a second game plan?
Oxford, have you seen the credentials of our two new directors?

| Quote: MickeyMo "Kyle's kicking game was excellent tonight. The difference between his kicking and Longy's is that Arnold finds the floor and usually turns the defence. Our chase game was superb to back that up, too.'"
Correct. I think of few of us said this in relation to Potter. At Catalans he helped turn Bosc into a Super League quality half back and developed his kicking game and it seems that now we're getting some results with Eastmond. His touchline conversions though were brilliant and won me some money too
