| Of course, mate. Enjoy the pre season and enjoy listening to your grandad reminisce about how he remembers Warrington being the champs when he was a little boy.

Whichever way you look at it Saints were tedious and won nothing, didn't even make a final. Of course that was all down to the RFL conspiring against you, no doubt>

History tells us that Leeds were champions in 2007, 2008 and 2009, Wigan were champions in 2010 and Leeds again in 2011.
Saints contested all 5 finals, but guess what, it doesn't matter because it's Leeds and Wigan's names that are on the trophy for them years and nobody cares that Saints were even in final. Even Saints fans want to forget it. But hey, you enjoy 'being' in a final (and losing again)if that what matters to you.

Just so I'm clear, you prefer finishing 4th and playing tedious rugby all season to making the Challenge Cup final, the Grand Final and taking the League Leaders Shield (scoring the most points int the process). In which case you are easily satisfied and with a bit of luck your team won't disappoint you again next season.

I don't remember saying anything about being happy to finish 4th?
As a fan who has been spoilt watching my team in countless finals, I'm saying that losing in a final is nothing to be happy or satisfied about. If you're satisfied to lose in major finals then good for you and your club.
When Saints lose in a major final it is classed as a failed season to the fans.
Come back on here and gloat when you've actually won a title.
Ps. Notice how our big rivals still haven't come on this board rubbing our noses in it, and they've actually won a title. Imagine what that must feel like.

I started the thread. I certainly don't claim to speak for all the fans. Most of whom actually wanted Wire to win.
Saints fans expect trophies next year mate. Will be 3 years since we've won one, next year. Which is unacceptable for a club of our stature. Imagine that.

Strangely I don't recall saying anything about being "satisfied" with losing in both finals. You were the one that started the gloating thread, I commented as I thought it odd that a supporter of a team which didn't make either final and played a tedious brand of rugby felt they held the moral high ground.
I accept it was not particularly bright of me to expect a rational discussion.
Start a thread about Wigan you'll probably find some of their fans will respond to it.

First, moral high ground is a reference to what society recognises as justice or doing the right thing, which is not relevant to a bit of rugby league banter between rival fans...but I'm just being pedantic to annoy you, which so happens to be the purpose of this whole thread. And you lot came onto it like wasps round a theme park bin. You were never going to have a rational discussion on here.
However, Warrington are looking good, they're recruiting well and they're a real threat next year. So, let's draw a line under it. Have a good pre-season.

Dwarfs, Gnomes, Halflings/GNOME2.JPG The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.

No, for clarity we have been rubbish for most of the season and we only finished 4th because Catalans, Castleford and Widnes collapsed.
It seems as though Warrington have found there level and the fans like to make comparison to it. Historically the Saints requirement is a much higher bar. Winning the LLS is an indicator of consistency but the greatest satisfaction is the Superleague Trophy, using second best as some form of bragging tool is not the way to go.

| Most people take the p out of someone or something when the object of their mockery is in some way worse off. We have set our standards high to win everything but fallen short. But we are relatively happier than you because we have been more successful this season. It would be like us taking the p out of Wigan because they didn't win the cc cup. Of course we need to get the monkey off our back, but having the p taken from fans of a side who are definitely worse than us is laughable.

| One of the main differences between us and that joke club Dire, is that when we lose a final we want to quickly forget it, by contrast they hold it up as one of their 'achievements'.
Even when they had a cr*p team, their 'fans' have always been the biggest gobs*ites in RL and were the sole reason I was cheering for the Pies in the GF.

So was it a different Gazwire who would be all over this forum when we lost a big game? In those days when Warrington were fodder for the big clubs. No? Thought not.
ive heard there are some schools in NSW that might be up for playing you in the world club challenge but don't get your hopes up just yet

Absolute bulli. Give me one example where I have come on your board and taken the micky when you've lost any big games bar us? I come on here to defend my club against the deluded crap that's pedalled on here.
By the way, why do you sign off with 'regards King James' on all your posts. Is it some kind of royal seal approval to authenticate a post of quality? It's a genuine question by the way.
