| I don't understand the anguish. It's been common knowledge all season that Savelio is leaving.
Admittedly, Warrington would be a surprise. But not if they've decided to offer silly money.
Sav has his heart set on the NRL. But if Wire have lost their marbles it makes sense to milk the silly buggers dry for a couple of years and then go to the NRL.
Big contracts demand big performances. So far Andre has been nothing more than an exciting "bit part" player. It makes no business sense to tie ourselves to someone who a) isn't the finished product and b) is likely to bail for the NRL anyway.
Stop crying, gut up and have the intelligence to realise that if true we've dodged a .50 calbre bullet. Ultimately, any player who quits the champion club for an also ran is not a champion player.
As for Saddened - didn't you throw a similar tantrum when that other star, England International forward (as yet unrecorded), Andy Bracek, took Wire's filthy lucre?

| I'd be surprised if he signed for Wire, but like like Mug says its been common knowledge for years that he wants to go to the NRL. I think he'll have another year or 2 with us before getting a gig down under

| Who is Savs agent, I was lead to believe our club had the improved contract offer on the table at the start of this new season. I hope his agent isn,t creating a bidding war and unsettling Sav in the process.

Erm .... that's what agents are for. The idea that Sav's mind has been twisted by the malign influence of an agent is silly and a reversal of cause and effect.

A Sydney based agent………..I,m just hoping we are not getting another "Eastmond Scenario" where there is a possibility of the agent seeing the opportunity of making more money by advising him to move away regardless whether it is good or bad for the player.

Players hire agents who reflect their own personal values. Ergo ...

| I should say that I once attempted to pin Jon Wilkin (in his official capacity as head of the players union) down on the question of agents playing not only the NRL off against SL, but RU, too.
He handled the question the same way one might deal with a barrel full of radioactive waste spewing deadly fission products in all directions.

If a player wants to play NRL, he's got to show he's worth it. He's got to stand out and play consistently well.
If Warrington sign Savelio, they will do so on a four year deal. Two good seasons for them, then sell him for a few hundred thousand pounds.
You all blindly support the club no matter what they do. I was absolutely bang on about the club neglecting the playing staff post KC/Scully and unless the club starts waking up it's going to happen again. Not only are we not in the bidding for the big names anymore, we're not even managing to keep the young players we produce either. That's a bad combination.
But hey ho, we've managed to tie down Matty Dawson

You lot are too trusting though. We won last year, doesn't mean we should kick back and enjoy that glory for the next five years. Early days yet, but we're back to the ins and outs being daft again.

Maybe people trust the club because their track record of building a successful team is pretty good? Certainly judging by the trophy cabinet
Also it might be best waiting till the ins and outs are complete before passing judgement eh?
