| Can,t blame Lance so much in the club signing, that totally rests on the current chairman and past coach. Someone didn,t do there homework or were ill advised that he had the potential to be a natural halfback.
From the NRL a couple of seasons he was an effective no 9 but we never played him therewith any regularity, frustrating situation for club, player and fans.
He did make a statement a few weeks ago about moving for family reasons, so maybe its just that and he has or club brought things forward................wish him well, always had a professional attitude.
The short statement from the club does sound as though there could be some further development.

I love playing for him. I can't praise him enough, I've so much respect for him and I hope he's here for a very long time." Kevin Sinfield 29/9/12:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_68506.jpg |

Change of underwear for a certain Wigan forward?

1) There is a disciplinary issue
2) There are family problems
I can't see either of those being true as he has been a good pro all his career and if it had been for family reasons Saints would have made that clear in the press release.'"
Or 3) Medical reasons.

I reckon Wigan will wish it was one of those options...

| As I said on Cherry and White, it shows a lot about Lance as a person to turn down his wages and retire immediately rather than take the club for a ride. The way he has handled the whole situation is admirable. We heard a lot about Ben Flower being offered support, the sport needs to offer support to Lance too.

| Unlike the way the Goons have dealt with it, treating Flower like a hero. Horrible cretins.

| The hero's welcome he got when he came back on vs Warrington makes me sad.

I don't now, I'm sure that when goulding came back from his ban for levelling neil cowie in the CC we gave him a warm welcome. Wigan's forwards had been underperforming and they needed him back.
There's always a few idiots.
The few posts I just read on the wigan warriors forum painting Lance as a villain out to destroy flower through spite are ridiculous, however.
Obviously its easy to link the GF clash with the symptoms, but Lance hasn't actually mentioned it and was always very graceful in the profile he kept after our Grand Final Victory.

| I think this proves the point that none of us actually knows what goes on behind closed doors
I normally don’t post much on here I just tent to read and see opinions but here’s my view.
When I heard the news last night I was fuming inside. I have never hated Wigan until now. Their thugary is criminal, their ground situation is pathetic, their fans treat flower like a hero. I have lost all respect for them now and reading some of the crap that is on cherry and white is ridiculous. I’m at the point where I don’t even care about the upcoming derby score line as long as we get involved. I hope we cage up Mose and feed him raw meat for the next few weeks. If I was Wane Flower would not play in the derby. I’m sick of Wigan dragging RL through the mud.

What planet are these Wigan fans on??? ohhhh its not the 2 punches from Flower its all the other games he's played... WTF
Michael Watson took one big hit and that was it for him, luckily he survived but his life altered forever.
There's a reason why we have the ONE PUNCH CAMPAIGN!

| I posted at the time about the 2nd punch potentially causing a brain injury, but others rubbished it and said it wasn't as hard a punch and he sort of pulled out of it.
My point at the time is that in a standing position, his head could recoil a bit and his body could absorb the energy of the punch. Watch clips of a boxer taking a thunderous punch and you'll see a ripple effect through his body, which acts almost like a shock absorber.
The second punch however, his head had nowhere to go, his body could not act like a shock absorber and instead, his head took the impact alone. Concussion isn't just a headache you get for a few days...if it's not treated properly, it's a potential, permanent brain injury that is incredibly still misunderstood by the majority.
Good luck to Lance, unlike most, I don't think he's been a flop of a signing for Saints, just a top quality 'World Cup winning' square peg for the round hole we had.
