| Quote: Saddened! "It's like the Wello situation. Just because someone did something great for the club, something truly noteworthy in the club's entire history, it shouldn't mean that gives them the entitlement to just sit there and live off that forever.
I'm not suggesting we stage a blobby-led siege on the Directors box brandishing AK47s, but if McManus isn't interested in winning trophies he should pass the baton. We're apparently coming to a stage where we'll stop the horrendous losses, seems a perfect time to sell up to me. Sell it to someone who wants to deliver a successful sporting side with a stable business, not just a successful business like McManus does.
We're at what 7 years without a major trophy now? 10 will pass soon and we'll be back into the very dark days where trophies were out of reach. This current side won't win any major trophies (Excluding the cap here) under Brown. It doesn't matter who we sign, it won't happen. McManus won't sack him though, he'll wait till he leaves or just not renew his deal. The whole club just needs to remember what it once stood for and what it once tried to achieve. It needs to get some passion back. Get a coach who fist pumps and swears at people and wears cool shades even in the dark.'"
it might not be so gloomy. We went through a very similar patch. Loss of all our good players at once, some very poor coaches and signings then bam, a lot of the stuff going on behind the scenes that we dont know about comes together and it seems to have worked and keeps working. Saints will come good. Look at how smashed you are this season and some poor signings yet are still up there.

| I'm amazed Saints are even in contention, lost two most dangerous players in Walsh and Lomax and still competitive. Got avoid young core in Lomax, Makinson, Percival, Turner, Swift etc. I think you need to replace Hohaia, awful player. If you had Pryce or an Eastmond alongside Walsh you'd be scary.

Not true at all Roy. Ball played the man.
In any case it makes up for the forward pass for saints second

I wonder what happens if you compile every poor decision. Wonder how many each team got and whether we deserved a correct call then??

If your a blind halfwit with no idea on the rules , you'd be correct. It was a poor call at a vital moment of the game that just sums up the terrible quality of refs we have. If that prat Silverdud had just let play go LMS would likely have scored and the Video ref would have had all night to look at it. Alas he chose to make the ref the major talking point in a big game again rather than the Rugby it's self. He should be punished for his mistake but of course he wont be.

I thought that made up for your first try where the player dropped the ball and didn't ground it.

Really? Brough has given two players concussion this year when the ball he's kicked has hit players rushing towards him in the face- the ref didn't class eitherof those as a charge down.... Or do you think he should have?

IF you are correct, makes up for Bentham's decision over Danny Brough's drop goal in the cup.

| IF - everyone could go on and on, remember as a real youngster Murp scoring in the corner in a night game at Knowsley Road near the score board, someone shouted never a try, Murphy just shouted back look in the paper tomorrow!
One of Saints tries did look a forward pass, so do they all balance themselves out! last night is Over!

| It shows browns not so confident in having Mose on the pit when we was down to 12. Amor and Lms run their blood to water while he was sat on his fat bum watching. I think he did about 30 mins of the 80 in a back to the wall game in which we had 12 men and players going down injured.
Laffranchi was woeful again. I'd never pick him for the club again, he's total waste of a player and Thompson, greenwood and sav bring much more than him.
We was effectively carrying to many players last night

I think Leeds did a similar thing last week not risking certain bench players when down to 12.
Totally agree about Laffranchi he is in "going home" mode and Soliola is going the same way. Thompson should definitely be replacing Laffranchi and why Sav hasn't played a couple more games is baffling.
Its also a strange one from Brown who before he came to the club was known for swapping and changing, he now seems to have gone the other way with the suspicion that he has "his favourites".

I'd 100% play Thompson every week if his form was what it was before he wasn't selected. He brings heart, comitment, energy and aggression.

| Last night was the best thing that could happen to that set of lads. Learning the number 1 rule of Rugby League which is to give your all no matter what the circumstance. No one can criticise the lack of effort which we've been able to do countless times this season. We won't win anything but if we go out on our sword, we can't ask any more.
If we come back next season with the same attitude and a full squad, we won't be far away no matter what some of the melodramatic tools on here will have you believe. The biggest thing Saints lack is heart and we showed plenty of that last night. I'd like to think it was an invaluable lesson for next season.
