Yes but there is a common denominator here, that is Wigan players are the offenders and the wigan coach turns a blind eye. Wane dishes it out but can't take it, thats why he was reduced to stutter mode.

| Wane is a kn0b,So well done Browny for playing him at his own game and winning too as he didn't like it as was justified by his rant
I find it quite funny that he thinks that he's Mr Wigan and all that, but how many top players have left the club during his tenure?
Do they not like him ?

Of course there is, but that's more because no one on our side expected Brown to take a shot!
For me, Wane pulls the card too often, he does it virtually every time he plays saints, did it vs cas and I seem to recall another time this season as well - but there's nothing like media rivalry to get fans riled up once in a while

| Its not looking too good for rattled Wane, A stutter and now he's shot himself in the foot.
On Radio Machester Talk In, they mentioned the double movement no try, Ian Smith phoned in said it was a quite easy decision, hand was on the player when the ball carrying arm hit the ground to complete the tackle ...no brainer.
Then the discussion went on to if the cameras were not there it would have been given, Wigan fans where desperate and phoned in that it was a try because they didn,t want the cameras to be there.

I wonder if both coaches will now get a fine? Fine or no fine, what are the odds?

| The media seem to have gone for this, too. This is exactly the comment they were fishing for.

So basically Ape man is doing exactly what Brown said he was. I wonder if the RFL will react ..

Agree, it's an anomaly in the game. Had that been 10 yards out Burgess gets up and scores, no problem. There is no way he was held in the tackle, Hohaia fell off the initial tackle but another Saints player put his hand on Burgess.
Martyn Saddler commented about it in todays League Express, there is no way that should have been a penalty. If the referee can allow the player to play the ball again when he passes the ball after a held call then Burgess should have been at least allowed to play the ball. I can't remember if it was the last tackle, if it was it should have been a handover

You don't have to be held in the tackle though. As confirmed by former head of referees during the Sky commentary, there only needs to be an opposition player's hand on the potential try scorer for it to be ruled as a double movement, so long as the potential try scorer has his ball carrying arm on the floor when the opposition player touches him.
It wasn't a try according to the rules. No need for you to be bitter about it though. We're not.

| It was never a try. Defender was touching him so he can't make another move for the try line once his arm touched the floor.
It's an offence to do so, it's cheating (in effect - you are making an illegal move to score a try) so I can't understand why you wouldn't want a penalty in that situation.

What on earth are you talking about? It was a double movement, the tackle was complete.
You obviously don't understand the rules.

This would be Wanes opinion if Saints had scored the try. Since it was Wigan, it's an archaic rule that has no grounding in reality and should just of given Wigan the try... Unless someone in the future scores a try against them in a similar fashion, in which case it's the rules and it was totally unfair on Wigan ... Ad nauseam

| If ever you agree with Martyn Sadler, it means you are most definitely wrong.
