It can count for 10 carries providing he just keeps walking away from st Helen's direction.

| It's like were just going backwards, Wello at fullback making 0 yards on returns and offering little in attack (but of course he can catch a high ball so that makes it all ok). Back to the powderpuff wimpy pack of last year that gets scared and hides when a game gets tough. There is too much of the season left to write it off utterly by pushing Wello back into fullback, we have Lance who has plenty experience so why not use him

We have Wheeler don't we, Charnock is still around too. If we really really have to play Wello then I'd at the very least drop Hohaia back for kick returns so we dont start every set camped on our own line trapped in a corner

| How anyone can say Wellens offers little in attack is beyond me. He is always there to score and is one of the few who is always in support of a break.

| Cas fan here, gutted for young Lomax as i loved watching him play. Very underrated and a nice kid as well. Its a nasty injury and a very painful recovery and i'd just like to wish him well and hope that he's ok for the start of next season It could take a little bit longer depending how severe it was but he's a brave kid and i'm sure he'll come through it. Chin up Jonny.

| If Charnock can't get a game under The Tinkerman, he never will.

I seem to recall Brown saying Charnock "wasn't ready" at the start of the year - I can only assume the plan is for him to take up the lock role ...

| In terms of Wello "offering little in attack" I think this relates to the style of game he plays. He is the support up the middle type of full back of 10 years ago. The game has changed, predominantly by Billy Slater, where they are now more of an attacking fringe player with the skills of a half back. That is where Wello struggles slightly. When a split second quick pass selection is needed out wide, he tends to dummy and go himself rather than shifting the ball to create a try.

| With every work shy pack performance I get more and more irritated that we sent Clough out on loan. He'd certainly be in the side at present.

| Charnock would be an interesting call, he's played a fair bit of rugby at #1 (I believe).
As Carlos states, though, given how he's managed to avoid being involved given our deficiancies at#6, he's unlikely to get a start now.
I would not play Wellens at #1. it may be the best short term fix, but we're already looking up against it to seriously contend bringing home the SL trophy. Better to give a young lad a chance and try and play some expansive rugby, which Wellens stunts.
Charnock and Wheeler could both player either 1 or 6, with Lance filling the other position.
I think swift could be a very interesting fullback, but Makinson isn't a bad option obviously Dawson can also play wing, but we also have a promising youngster in Galbraith (isn't it?) who has a very good try scoring record for the under-whatevers.
