| St Helens coach Nathan Brown and Tommy [Makinson] played terrific football. They were super at the end of last season and are carrying on from where they left off.
"With Jonny Lomax impressing at the back, they have been three of our most consistent players.
"But we were desperate for half-time because we kept dropping the ball. Rovers had all the field position and they have a lot of good forwards and confident half-backs.
"We gifted them too much in the first half but we were brilliant in the first 20 minutes of the second half.
"We came up with some nice kicks and we were hard to handle."
Quite a fair assessment.

| I think we missed percival a bit too. Theres quite a few occasions were he would have probably scored instead of dropping the ball! Its good to have the luxury of not having to play players with just a knocks!

I think Percival would have scored 2 tries that Wheeler failed to do. Would sooner see Wheeler creating options in second phase with Walshy.
Just looked at the stats Josh Jones only made 1 metre going forward yesterday. Wellens did OK on his cameo appearance 10 tackles, no missed tackles, 2 tackle busts and robbed of a try.
Front row impressive metres again, for the 4th time bossed the opposition over the 80 mins.

I've been a bit dissapointed with Jones so far this season, his impact seems to be minimal

Are you using the super league site? According to them, Roby averaged 127metres per carry!!! Whilst he's good I'm not sure he could pull that off

That's a nonsense. I can remember a couple of runs he made under their sticks in the first half that would have got him into double figures. I reckon there may well be a '0' missing after the 1.

| Another incorrect stat is that the website has Adam Swift making 0 tackles from 1 attempted tackle. I can remember a tackle he made, as I vividly remember the man sat behind me spitting on my ear with his praise of Adam.

I thought so too, its all hard yards for Josh in the role he is playing this season.

| I think Josh Jones as been hugely disappointing this season and im a massive fan of his. No impact at all with ball in hand and especially against Salford when the pass was on he kept hold of the ball instead. I tipped him for International honours this year but he looks miles off.

I think the opposite. His tackling has been great. With ball in hand he has taken it up well particularity taking up second phase offloads.
Missed Friday but he was great against Wire and good/solid against Salford IMO.

I think his problem is he's gone from playing centre/ wide second row to loose and playing very centrally, he's often being hit by the props when he takes the ball in, which isn't playing to his strengths. He's young, and definitely more talented than most second rowers we've produced.
He had a good game against wire when he was put in the second row, but he's been a bit dominated since he was put in the middle.

| You need players to balance the side.
Soliola, Manu, Masoe, Walmsley an even LMS are impact type players. I look at Amor, Jones and Wlkin as the workhorses in our team who are steady with the ball but tackle with intensity.
There is work to be done with Jones, but I can see what he offers to us.

We,ve got to replace Wilkin in 2 or 3 years hopefully Jonesy can develop his game, didnt he start life as a half back if so maybe there is some basic instinct in there.

I don't think Sia is a impact player. I don't think we getting the best out of him from the bench. You want sia on the pitch from the start. He can play long mins.
IMO Sia is one of our best players and should be on from star.
