Of course it is. Wigan will still be relatively successful because of their youth system, but it's clear the club is doing something wrong as it never keeps any of it's stars, they all go.

| Quote: Father Ted "There isn't a rumour Mossop is off to Australia, it's a well known fact.
What has to be decided yet is when.
Also whether it will be a temp loan deal for 2 years and then he'll return to complete his 5 year contract or alternatively, stay out there.
J Tomkins went for £240k payable over 2 years.
If Hock goes Wigan should get around the £175-200k mark, probably again over 2 years.
When Sam Tomkins departs heaven knows how much Wigan will get. If the club get over £500k for him that will be £1m for the 3 players. Whether this is good business or not will be the quality of replacements and their costs.
As you know Wigan have bought Smith, Green and Taylor for the money they got for Joel with a small amount of change left.
Imagine what you guys could have got for James Graham if he'd gone whilst under contract. He didn't stay to help you win trophies so maybe you should have got rid when he had 2 or 3 years left on his contract and then demanded a massive fee.'"
You will not be getting anywhere near the amount you suggest for Hock. Believe me!
If Hock or mossop do decide to go ( or both) then I honestly think wigans two year revival will be over. They have lost to many good players and replaced with IMO mediocre players.
Lulu, finch and carmont are massive massive losses and Green, Hughes and Smith ain't in the same league as them. If you then add mossop or Hock to them, I think it's to many good players gone with a lack of quality to replace them.

is it? at least we are trying to keep them, your chairman seems to value cashing in and profits over keeping his best players.

| Who will Wigan get to replace Hock?
shoot me down in flames if you wish, but in my opinion when he concentrates on rugby rather than looking tough, he's the most dangerous back rower in the league (can't think of many that would match him in the NRL either). he even ran over the top of Sia for goodness sake. This will be a huge boost for us - i think he made the difference against us this year. combine that with the departure of the two halves. Wigan's form only picked up again when those two returned from their respective injuries.

This is on top of last years recruitment which saw the likes of Hoffman leaving, with the goons bringing in a bag full of no hopers. Gelling??? The trogs? That bloke from Hull that is a poor mans Barry Ward? They were lucky this season to survive with the poor recruitment, and some Goons were even claiming the likes of Gelling was a top signing. But they were found out in the important games, and next year will be significantly weaker again. The Goons are going backwards at an incredible rate, once the wheels fall off, they will be back to booing curly and co, and chaniting how they arent fit to wear the shirt. Can't wait

| Wigan are looking significantly weaker for next season than this (and they already had a fairly vanilla squad Tomkins excepted) but they'll still finish top 4 somewhere behind us and Warrington without breaking sweat - at the end of the day Leeds won't bother turning up until August again, Hull and Hudds are in massive transitional phases and Catalans still lack a few top players to really compete at the top level. There's noone else even vaguely at the races. The Hubcap will be decided by whichever of us and Warrington doesn't want it the least I reckon. Anyone else as excited as I am by the coming season?

But where is this lovely money going? You're restricted by the salary cap and its only available to sign other players with, which in this country doesn't often happen. (Taylor to Wigan exempt)
Guess it gives Lenegan a nice pension packet? More money to throw at Tomkins to keep him past 2013 when he will probably leave too?
An upgrade of your Academy facilities maybe or an upgrade to the training facilities but surely they dont cost a million quid?
Wigan appear to be a sinking ship. Fans are getting restless at possibly the worst time of the year, season ticket renewal time.

Think Wakefield could surprise people again, and the Broncos should be much improved. Otherwise I totally agree.

| The diffculty for any club that's had a period of reasonable success is that, when stars leave, they're difficult to replace and while your trying to do that, your run-of-the-mill squaddies are chasing a pay rise on the back of being part of a successful team, which can eat into the salary cap space left by the likes of Leulieu and Finch.

| He's 29 and probably fancies a bigger challenge. It'll be interesting to see how he goes as he can change games but there's a bit of the flat track bully about him and I'll like to see him front up more regularly. In the NRL he'll get that chance.

Now come come you know that’s not true, Sam Tomkins for one, and Tommy Leuluai was in a mad rush wasn’t he? Anyway as we all know everything put together sooner or later falls apart! Take a look at your own.

AH yes, but ours was lovingly put together and lasted for many years. Yours was knocked together by a couple of cowboys and only lasted a few years.

Yeah as lovingly put together as your new stadium that nearly blew away. It strikes me your club has just as many ups and downs as any other, and by the looks of it just as many silly pointless post like yours.
