this time last year every board was subjected to Wigan triumphalism and I went on right up to september 2011,and it really got up other fans backs and when they took the bait and started to have a go back it was ban,ban ban.Now there is nothing wrong with celebrating winning but last years antics were very OTT .That is in my opinion why so many so called trolls visited the Wigan board.

Totally correct. They thought it was the 80s all over again which was pretty big headed seeing as it looks like the new Wigan era lasted all of one and hand season

You are indeed correct however sadly Rogues likes to miss out all the facts that paint Wigoon in a bad light. Erase Wigan's wins when they were playing part timers and they would still have an impressive trophy count though.

Technically we werent over the cap, we deferred payments to pay for Fielden and Dobson. It was a loop hole so we were charged with going against the spirit of the salary cap. I nice made up rule that nobody had ever heard of. Be interesting to see when the clubs involved in the tax avoidance investigation will be deemed as going against the spirit of the cap.

I'm talking about the year the cap was introduced and Wigan was given special treatment as funny enough theyhad give all their best players long term contracts and used the excuse they couldn't ask their players to reduce their salary.

and i was talking about the last part of your previous statment, the year we avoided relegation and the alleged serious breach. It wasnt actually a breach, we deferred payments/renegotiated contracts to get round the cap. Not illegal, hence the loop hole and the made up rule. Like i said it will be interesting when the tax scandal surfaces and the clubs involved named and see if this rule of the spirit of the cap is applied.
