He may have been a diva having been told he's being benched (could also have been the reason for last week's late omission), he may not have been pulling his weight in training, there may be some residual doubts over his fitness, etc.

I agree that the reason given (although I haven't even seen that said officially) doesn't stack up, but I'm not going to castigate Simmons when this could be the party line, not the actual reason.

I was told yesterday that Leon trained, was fine and is playing from the bench Saturday.

Not sure. In not texting anyone as don't want to hassle anyone with the big game coming Up. I'm sure it will all come out if anything has happened.

Hopefully it's moot. As I've said, given Simmons' previous tactics he'd likely have spent 80 mins on the bench anyhow.

It has though - Pryce has supposedly gone from having played enough games to be given a place on the bench, to not having played enough games to be given a place on the bench.

I've not heard off anyone today but I know for a fact he was happy to go on the bench last week.

I'd be amazed if he had gone diva, when realistically (barring a huge improvement from Catalan) it's his swansong crack at a GF winner's ring.
