Isn't a person supposed to be over 18 to go on Facebook? If I have that right - and I don't know whether I do because while I tweet I don't do Facebook - then the issue is a parental one and not one for other users of Facebook to consider.

Tomkins was wrong, but if you was him and you were booed for wearing an England shirt with pride, would it not be possible for you to forget your status and public icon figure for a moment whilst caught up in the heat and passion of probably rugby leagues most passionate contest and maybe vent your anger/protests towards them?

No the minimum age for facebook is 13! but you know as well as me that so many younger kids will go on facebook, it is easy to say it is down to parental control, even under age young people go in pubs, how do you stop younger people unless you put a leash on them, I feel on any website you can debate without having to be offensive or a bully but sadly it is creeping into Our Game of Rugby League and at grounds as well, it is no use hiding behind Parental Control, most of the offenders are adults and should know better.

First of all I'm not a Wire fan, but if I was my thoughts would be the same, any kind of misdemenour should be dealt with by the player's club. I have no axe to grind in the matter, if a player behaves in that manner he should be prepared to take the consequences.

Tomkins was better then Webb who was awful.
He along with McGuire, Bailey & Hauraki were the worst players on the field.
That's why Leeds lost. Wigan were the better team and deserved their win.

For the first 20 minutes. After that, it was Leeds who were the better team.

Tomkins is easy to stop, good old fashioned tackling the LEGS which players seem not to do, maybe that his tactic, be such an arrogant sh*thouse that everyone wants to take his head off rather than go round the legs.

I've never read so much OTT bulls*it than has been posted on the Wigan board. They are so far up there own backsides after 12 month of success they've lost touch with all reality!

The is no doubt they are currently the number one side in super league but Christ, we nights as well all pack in now and hand the super league titis to them now.

They are now saying crap like, Maguire is the best coach in the world and has has the biggest impact on super league than any other coach, joel Tomkins has scored the greatest try ever in the history of Wembley, Wigan are the greatest club in world rugby, they have the greatest fans in world rugby!

Jesus, they've won one challenge cup and one super league title in about ten years.


A reality check is certainly in order!

At the moment Wigan are on the defensive against anything and anyone who dares to criticise them. Deep down they are seething that everyone thinks the CC final was given to them due to officials mistakes etc. On the surface they may try to show they are 'happy' but they can't take in the fact that everyone else (more-or-less) isn't happy for them. It's really taken the shine off their win.

I agree, you can't make a post without being shot down! I got a barage of insults because I posted that I dint think Joel Tomkins try was the best try in the history of Wembley.

They are using the " everyone hates us and we don't care" crap that they used when they dominated in the 80s.

For what it's worth tho, I don't think the officials handed Wigan the game, the was few forward passes but the same on both sides. Even when Leeds was on top in the 2nd half I always knew Wigan would go the other end and score which they did.


Any team that beats saints, wolves and Leeds deserves to win the cup.
