I've heard saints are taking turns next year at playing in our vacant centre spot.

| Lets face it, non of you lot can say with any certainty whether we're at quota or not.
Saints HAVE to have room for another signing and given how quiet the club is, I feel they've got irons in the fire still. We're heavily linked with all the players signing or resigning for other clubs, Hill, Griffin, Grix etc so perhaps we're throwing bids in left right and centre. Hopefully we'll hit a target soon enough.
Don't want Cooper though, he's too old and not good enough.

I doubt we will sign anyone else.
Cooper is getting on but he's still a very good player.

We will sign someone else. If Pryce goes we'll have enough cap room for a top international player, any upgrades for da youff will be negated by the likes of Frodsham and Armstrong departing.
I reckon Mac's going to throw a mega signing in just to make us feel better. Jamie Lyon esque. SBW would be my bet. He's clearly bored in Union.

We defo 100% have no quota spots left. Unless we pay a transfer fee for a player then our squad is done for 2012.

You can't say that. Graham, Eastmond and Pryce (Please stay Leon if you're reading this) and that's three of the clubs highest earners gone. Add in Hohaia and Laffranchi, neither of which were highly covetted by NRL or SL clubs and you've got at least 1 players worth of cap room. I'm not aware of any of our first team youth players getting new deals, so we can assume any that have will take the salaries of the likes of Frodsham and Armstrong who don't look to be getting new deals. It would be madness for the club to sit on that much cap room.
There are still a few Super League players that have not yet announced their futures. Griffin is one, although Leeds appear favourites. There are Ragiun and Mounis from Catalans, both high quality players. There is Ewan Dowes, a reasonable SL prop and certain an improvement to our current bench. There is also Steffan Ratchford who is rumoured to be joining Warrington, but they haven't announced that one yet. I fail to see how Warrington can be in a position to be offering more than we could as they are a couple of senior players ahead of us anwyay.

Cooper would be the best centre playing in Superleague. Even better than George Carmont who has been superb again this year.

How old is Cooper? Although its a while since i've watched NRL, I remember him being a pretty special player.
Carmont is a good centre who's maintained excellent form, Cooper would be a step up from there, unless age has caught up with him.

| Nothing wrong with the first choice pack - providing Perry shows some value...
plenty going on in the halfs, Makinson/Shenton partnership a bit lightweight, and Wello may get found out?
thoughts?...

Not yet. And I'm not wrong either. I predicted a battle for 5th this season and that's where we'll be if we lose this weekend.

We're nowhere near a "battle" for 5th. It's a battle for 4th at worst, probably a battle for 3rd when we win this weekend.
Who is "battling" us for 5th spot? Cas? They're 5 points behind us.
More exaggerated nonsense.

Not sure how to multi-quote on here but St. Pete was correct about the quota spots so not sure what you are referring to with your opening sentence.
We have Flannery, Perry, Soliola and Hohaia on the overseas quota, so one space left.
However on the non-fed quota we have Perry, Puletua, Soliola, Hohaia and Laffranchi so no spaces left.
Therefore even though we have one overseas space, there is very few players, if any, that would count on the overseas quota but not on the non-fed as well. Cant think of one example!
