| Quote: SaintsFan "I didn't say it was legal did I? I don't think I did. And I wasn't saying it was legal in this thread either. It was late in my view, which is illegal. He got away with it because it didn't hit the designated spots for this season but also the ref didn't think it was late. Another ref - Ganson, for instance - would have considered it late.
Jeez, Pete. Get a life! I had to dig hard into my memory banks for that one. I've moved on. I've done stuff and slept much since that discussion. I suggest you let it go.
Oh, and for the record, I also think Hoffman deliberately wanted to take Wheeler out. Unlike Raynor, who I think made a careless but not hostile attempt to knock the ball out of Tomkins' hands.'"
The ref, two touch judges, match official at the game, RFL all thought it was legal.
It was a legal challenge.
Let's end it here, let's not go down this road again

You bloody started it. And I don't agree with you, or the officials. Citing flipping touch judges who can't spot a forward pass from a foot away is hardly giving credence to anything.

Any news how he his recovery from his shoulder injury isprogressing? (I still can't believe how wigan got away with that late "tackle"icon_wink.gif'"
Sadly not, I've not heard anything since he had his operation, the club stated then it would be around 5 weeks, (on the same story Lomax was out for 5 weeks too).
It is just 5 weeks when we play Crusaders, so unless he has had a setback, he'd should be available for Leeds and if not definitely for Bradford.

Without doubt we'll pick up knocks along the way, its part and parcel. What is hard to accept is when is it all at once.
We should be ok with regard to breakdowns provided we don't rush anyone back, the squad has coped admirably with everyone out. I'd want us ease them back in where possible, I know that is not easy with some positions, if Lomax, Gaskell, Wheeler all come back with either start them or we can only bench one

| You would imagine we are due a few back for the next 2 games.
You do pick up knocks and that is part and parcel of the game, we've just been a little unfortunate with the run of knocks and that they have all been around 5 weeks give or take. Usually you'd get a gap inbetween or varying length of injury. As luck would have it I think the Challenge cup came at just the right time for Saints and has allowed us to gain some time to get the players back without missing too many games.
I thought we were unlucky to lose the Wigan game, but fortunate to win the cas game. The draw at Hull could have gone either way and we where well beaten by Huddersfield. But with those results we've had the time with the CC which means we are still 2only points off the lead and our players ready to return.

| Was told last night TP and Moore have a good chance of playing this Friday with Lomax and Gaskel a slight chance?
Leon could be back for the Bulls away game in 2 weeks?
Fingers crossed then

Well, we might get a better idea when the press conference takes place today (happens at 4.30 apparently). But I'm not pinning my hopes on anyone coming back until I see their names in the starting 17 and then I'll be holding my breath that they come through the match unscathed!

| If Moore shows the sort of form he did before his injury, his return will be a massive plus point.
He was showing a marked improvement of not only ability but maturity and game nous.

Indeed. The boo boys are going to have to have nominations for a new scapegoat.

It was predicted that god was back this week too, but he missed out again.

Interesting dilemma for rolls if lomax gaskell and eastmond are all fit. Will eastmond get a game or go back to the reserves ? Possibly stick him on the bench. Don't believe he showed enough in his games to justify a place ahead of lomaskell

Agreed, I think when Pryce comes back too the pairing will be Pryce at 6 with Lomax at 7. You can tell that Royce really doesn't like Kyle from his interviews and statements.

It could go either way. I suppose Simmons might want to test the water with Lomaskell and so keep Eastmond on the bench in case one of them breaks down or needs a rest. They've both been out for quite a while and so will not be match fit, although Saints did say on Twitter that anyone returning will need to 'hit the ground running', which suggests there is no plan for easing anyone back in! By choice though I can't see the coach playing Eastmond ahead of Lomaskell given that they were in such good form and progressing well before they were injured.
