You know, it's a fact during this year's Super League that McClennan has been able to post those facts more than any other poster and when you are able to post those facts more than your opponents you are going to put yourself into a very good chance of success. It's what makes McClennan such a tough poster.

Anyone feel a mild sense of relief? We now don't have to go into the Warrington games with any big records to uphold and the players will no longer have to carry the burden of the record on their backs? We are now free to lose to Warrington whenever and wherever we like.

If we lack attacking ideas and defensive commitment in the way we did last night then I am sure we will freely indulge the losing instinct!

Teams that have played their entire history in the top flight - Warrington,....er there isn't anybody else (including saints!)

The Saints hoodoo has really got to me over the past couple of years.
To beat Saints was one of my three targets for the season, with the other two being getting to Wembley and Old Trafford.

Taking the win at face value it is two points, but to us fans it was far more than that.

To the team in terms of confidence and belief the win could be unmeasurable.
We had beaten every team in the past two season with the exception of Saints and I am sure to our players this was in the back of their minds, knowing that no matter how well they did there was a team we couldn't beat.

Thats the next target Although it is only 2 points this win will give us lots of confidence that will benefit us next time we play you in a more important game.

Just for sayings sake ..... when were we not in the "top flight" ?

the fact the matter is that for so long we (Wire) have never been able to beat Saints........there have been so many "nearly" matches and (as we all have been) to be on the end of last gasp wins by drop-goals, bombs and so forth is absolutely gutting.....so arguably to win the other night has to be an achievement and permit some goading (politely and in good jest of course)

at the end of the day, as Brian McDermott himself once said it (really) is only two points; fans pay good money to have high emotions, players get paid only for the two points each game

We were demoted once, somewhere around 1914 or something. It was decades ago anyway. And just the once. But Warrington are the only team not to have been demoted at all. It is their one claim to fame!
