Isn't it the case that the players pick from the three nominees, rather than nominating them?

Nope. The players already voted and mos has been decided, these are the top 3 which they release to give it more press etc etc.

| conceivably Roby and Graham are your best players of the year and given that every supporter thinks one of their team should have a player in the short list, I can understand why they are being mentioned.
But KFC, you are having a laugh, please look objectively and not let sentiment cloud your judgement.

Pryce and Roby have been our best, KC doesn't deserve it. I'm sure he'll pick up some sort of recognition award though.

| Richards has to get it for me, he has been a model professional for me and not just this season, a real winger!

Most heads removed?
Top eye-socket fracturer?
Back on topic, if I had to pick a Saints player to go forward for MOS, it would probably be Gidley. He's a great player, and worries me when he's near the ball close to the line.
Wellens has also shown some very good form this season, especially towards the tail end.
Graham's still a dummy-spitter who takes a lot of drives in. Not much steel in that. Roby's a good player, but I don't think he's really stood out as much.
Any of the 3 nominations could win it, I'm sure I suggested last year that Tomkins has the potential to win Young Player of the Year, then Man Of Steel very quickly... I could be right.
Think it's going to be between Richards and Morley, though.

Roby has been our best player this year, as evidenced by winning POTY and players' POTY.
Gidley has had his worst season for us and wouldn't be anywhere near Saints' top5 this season, let alone MOS.
Is that good enough for you?

Well, I don't think Roby stood out particularly. But with those awards it would be hard to disagree.
I think Roby's a bit of a "quiet" player, as in he lets his Rugby do his talking. I suppose the best way to describe it is it doesn't seem like he gets "fired up", but he's a good player with a good Rugby head on him.
Wellens on the other hand, shouts and marshalls the defensive line like a good full back should. As does Sam Tomkins when he plays there.
Gidley gets involved, makes good breaks, backs up well, delivers speed and power, and pops up just where the opposition don't want. Alright, I've not seen any of the non-televised games which is all I can base my opinion on. But has he been that different in those?
Based on that, I think your "clueless" comment is a little much, I've based my post on the evidence I've seen.
Very unusual for a Saints player not to be in the running for MOS, but maybe that's what happens when the players decide rather than the press?

| I think clueless was a bit harsh but saying Gidley a possible for MOS and Roby not standing out is like me saying
"If anyone from Wigan should have been a contender for MOS it's Martin Gleeson. Pat Richards doesn't really stand out, he just gets on with it and is Mr Average"

Does that make these null and void then?...

I think the evidence on Cunningham's thuggery is plain for all to see.
As for Graham, he started spitting his dummy when Wire went two tries up last week. He was almost in tears.
It would have been funnier if you hadn't managed to turn things around because he certainly lost his cool to that point.
