We paid up front to get it out of the way. (We decided to just get a yearly one for now ( £230 adult £161 conc. NO student conc. though so they will have to pay adult prices.) but we can get the longer term ticket next time) You can set up your DD scheme though.

| Here's a question.
Now, I am looking at sitting alongside the touchline from now on, behind the sticks is not for me, so I and a few others want to get decent seats together. Is there a mechanism as yet where we can choose where we want to sit or do we just blindly buy a season ticket for the stand alongside the pitch and hope for the best?
I kind of got the tale end of Tony Colquitt saying that they were unsure as yet as to whether to have reserved or unreserved seating throughout.

Yes. If you are a ground season ticket holder now. You can go to the ticket office and choose your seat but you cannot have one of the two central blocks as that is being held back for present stand season ticket holders. You have to pay up front or DD for next seasons tickets before you can choose your seat in the new stadium. The stand that would be opposite our present stand (i.e. our pop side ) is being used for corporate boxes etc.

Yes there definately is an early bird scheme. You will have to read up the leaflet though as I can't find mine at the moment.

Seems a bit unfair to me that. Ideally I'd like a seat near the top on the halfway line or 40m line. Will we be denied this because of those who usually sit in the stand even though I stand in that place on the current terrace?

I agree that this is unfair, I am a season ticket holder and may possibly loose my usual position with the family due to it being held for others. We should all get equal pickings in my eyes!

Does this mean that the Popular side is being moved and if so whereabouts to in the stadium? I can not imagine going to the match and not being surrounded by the wall of sound that the popular side makes (on a good day), Would the corporate boxes not be higher up like at leigh?
I am confused and need answers prior to me picking my seats........Are there people at KR in touchlines giving this advice out all week as I only spoke to scully for about 2 mins on Sunday before the match.......!
Unreserved season tickets that are in the centralised seats (new popular side!) would be a good option in one stand and reserved seats (new family stand!) in the other in my opinion with anyone being allowed to fill in the rest of the stadium by paying on the day.

Are you saying that we can only buy tickets for one side and the other side is ENTIRELY for corporate stuff?

The pop side at the new stadium will incorporate the present stand season ticket holders and anyone who wants to buy a seated season ticket for the new stadium etc. The stand opposite this stand will be taken over by corporate facilities and boxes etc. The stand up fans will be behind the sticks. As will the away supporters. Any away supporters wanting seats I presume will have an allocated area in the one of the stands but I'm not sure which as I didn't ask seeing as I am a home speccie.

That is the impression we got from a rather lengthy chat with one of the officials on Sunday. It will all become much clearer shortly or I hope it will. We always stand on the pop side about a third of the way up on the halfway line. Ideally I would have liked to have had seats in the same area but it is not to be unfortunately. The reason given for giving stand season ticket holders the first choice of their seats in the two blocks is that they have been paying out more money for games in a seated area for years. While the rest of us have been paying less to stand.

| Quote: Tony Stark "I'm just about ready to give up on you fella, honestly. The club have done everything they can to get us in a new stadium.
As Big Mac and Marie Rimmer stated pre-kick-off its been a real battle to get the project off and running - take that as political spin if you like but its true.
[sizeWidnes will no doubt get a tidy penny from us for use of the Halton[/size but I suggest the cost of renting will be comparable (if not less) than the small fortune we pay for upkeep of knowsley road. Percentages of ticket sales, concessions and the additional sponsorship & corporate hospitality we can bring to what they already have will no doubt contribute towards the money we pay Widnes too. The commercial side of the club should not be affected.
IF crowds at Widnes only average 4 or 5 thousand it will be down to people like YOU. I (perhaps blindly) have faith that the majority of our fans go to home games to support the team NOT because the stadium is close to where they live.'"
The Stobart Stadium is owned lock stock and barrel by Halton Borough Council; the Widnes club won't see any money from this arrangement
As a Widnes fan however, I'll certainly make a point of coming along to see a few Saints games
Will be nice to see some Super League one year early

| Has the club designated the East or West stand as the away end or do we have to guess?
