Well Shenton himself was telling the England players he's signed for Saints so I think he has.

| Told by a good source he may well be on his way to the NRL, an approach was made by the same club at the end of last year which Cas rejected.

It's not so often you are correct, but this time you are.

| Technically he cannot have done so. Legally, all contracts must have a specified date on which they are signed. If he has signed a contract St Helens would be guilty of approaching a player under contract before the official anti-tampering deadline has passed.
Shenton may well have agreed a deal in principle, but it will not be signed and sealed legally until it is actually signed, which cannot happen until after September 1st if I remember right.

I think I'm a bit negetive on Atkins, I've seen him be pretty gash a couple of time in positional defence and it totally skews my opinion of him.'"
your basing that on the wakey version of ryan atkins, where he was appalling in defence, couldn't tackle to save his life etc.
and to be honest as a wire fan, i thought this as well when we announced we'd signed him.
HOWEVER
the difference between that ryan atkins and the one we've got is ridiculous, he's like a different player and from the start of the season has been defending like a mofo and tackling hard as well for a 3/4.
He's a totally different players, both him and bridge have been up there with the form centres in the league this year.

I thought I had posted on this thread yesterday but it doesn't appear anywhere? Anyway, what I would have posted is similar to the above, give me Atkins over Shenton any day. Good all-round player.
He's freakishly strong for his size according to an SL forward I know, I made a point of watching him in the Hull KR game recently and he was completely dominant in the collision, his speed from being tackled to playing the ball is immense.

Was told the exact same thing by someone who works at Cas. Westerman is the major culprit apparently. Along with Chase.

I was speaking to a former Saints player a few weeks ago who when i mentioned Westerman as a very talented player agreed but added that his attitude stank. Having talent isnt enough , to make it at the top you need to put in the hard work too and sadly it seems Westerman doesnt do that.

And that is one of the reasons why Ainscough and Tuson were recalled to Wigan from their loan spell.

everybody in cas knows that the drinking culture is bad and hopefully the club are addressing this by breaking the culprits up,sherwin has gone, sargant off at the end of the year and westerman has been offered to hull in a cash plus player swap which will help.we just need to keep chase away from leo latu at wakey and get mcgoldrick on the first plane back to oz and weve cracked the drunk team.

Yep, those 2 leaving would send the pubs in Cas bust.
Tuson & Ainscough were recalled for that reason, Cooper commented on it when he went back to Warrington.
