Before the game i was worried about Wigan. I've just left the game thinking there isent much between us at all. We can beat anybody on our day and a top 4 spot should see us have a real shot at the title.

On another day we could of won that one by 20 plus points. Welldone Wigan, you played well. However i cant help but think we'll have the last laugh this season.

I think if we'd have had 13 men for longer in the match it would have been further distance tbh. You looked dangerous but our defence is outstanding this season. Your 1st try was completely down to Richards being moved to fb and leaving the space open.

True, but you need to be winning these games at the end of the season when it matters. I've seen leeds teams in the past knock off the main contenders early doors but then faail when it matters. Now we seem to be the opposite.

I think leeds would have given you a much better game with a bit of form and a few more players in the team. In fact I daresay all things being equal the teams would be very evenly matched, and at OT?....the leeds players just love that old trafford night.

I think theres 4/5 teams that are very evenly matched so when it comes to the playoffs it's going to be very close and tight.

Enjoy your form now, but it never lasts forever, you will hit a sticky patch and beating the contenders now is no guarantee of success in october.

Your first try was gifted on a platter. Had we had Gary Wheeler at left centre today i feel the near oppotunities would of been try time.

There really isent much between the sides imo. Your defence does look very good but so does ours.

I agree that although we're missing a similar number of players, our replacements did better on the day than yours. Feka, McIllorum, Goulding, Mossop all had great games.

Where i have said you did? You, like many others are getting carried away with your position and team playing well in the first quarter of the season. You are playing well, and well deserve your top spot status, but no trophy is won before August, October in SL, only the WCC which you have to be in to win. Would it not be better to keep quiet now then gloat once you had actually achieved something, just a thought. Or is the fact that you actually beat the team that has handed you your backside so many times in SL too much of a temptation?

Evenly matched ?? Today we totally dominated you. We beat you 18-0 when we had 13 men. You didnt look like scoring at all.

Come on. Id say over 80 minutes St Helens were far the better Team. We created about 3 times as many scoring oppurtunities. Wigan were just more clinical.

When it mattered, Saints lost. If ever a game saints and their fans wanted to win it was this one, but......you didn't. Wigan now hold the honour of winning the last ever league game between the two at Knowsley rd. Forget what happens further down the season or in October as it stands now and as it will always read in the record books "Wigan took the last two league points in the final derby at St Helens"
