He was a good workmanlike prop but more Jules O'Neil than Fairleigh. [Fairliegh is the best prop I've ever seen in the V including Wardy in his pomp]

The one guy we have never repaced is "Baloo" - big meaty prop who can cut it in winter conditions as well as summer.

I don't think that he is in the same class as the players you have named, but he was definatly a good player in the seasons he was fit.

Meninga?

Meninga was overrated. He had Sean Day outside him, who would make my Nan look good in the centres. Day was such a danger that teams were forced to double up on him, leaving a bus sized gap for Meninga to occasionally plod through.
