If St Pete think Wilkin has put weight on, what about Cunningham each game he plays in he looks bigger and if he is bursting out his shorts. I wonder about the training regime regards fitness.'"
KC is getting on a bit now and has always been big boned

| Quote: rlcoach "What pointless comments, as if he is sacrificing his potential by writing for the papers.
It is good to have an intelligent person, who is able to write thoughtful articles. It has got nothing to do with how he performs. On one hand you say you don't have a vendetta, and on the other you pile in unrelated issues to try prove a point.'"
the point I was trying to make without being to forward is, stop fooking moaning about how many games he plays, games at Easter, the play off system and got back to playing a good level of rugby!
If he don't like how hard it is being paid for playing a game he loves then get a normal 9 to 5 job!!!!!

| Wilkin is now a lard a*se methinks, along side some of his colleagues.
As they say in goon town "who ate all the pies".
Where does Potter train them? McDonalds?
Fitness being going down hill since Apollo left. There is no real pace about the team which is one area we used to excel in.

Ski has got wrong end of stick saying I have a venetta against him.
As I said though IMO he not good enough.'"
C'mon then, smart . Who would you replace him with, given that we are skint, that we can't afford a transfer fee and that our youngsters seem to be as fragile as china cups in a shop attacked by a bull?

it's not my job to replace players. I would have thought saints have a scouting system to watch players.
I'm pretty sure they could find someone.

| Wilkin and Long had a right ding-dong after forcing a drop out against Hudds. Not sure what was going on there. But Wilkin remains a great player for now and the future and I hope that's with Saints - I'm not sure I believe everything I hear from building sites in East Hull.

Exactly what I have queried in the past. Apollos departure is quite significant. Also does anyone not relate Wilkins drop in form to the comments he made after the Westerman injury as if he somehow doubted whether he should be playing the game. May well have dented him psychologically.

I couldn't give dam if he packed in to be honest.
Not sure what went wrong with wilkin. He was rough, tough, loads of skill, break tackles.
Now he is nothing more than a tackle machine.

The lack of pace in our team isn't a new issue. We haven't had pace in the backline since Lyon left.

| Quote: Smart Rs "I'm working over in Hull and there are a good few HKR fans on the site I'm working on. There is quite a strong rumour coming from them that John Wilkin will be playing for them next year. I only came home last and haven't heard anything on here after a quick browse through but one of the men who told me used to coach him at Skirlaugh when he was a young lad and he reckons it's very close to being a done deal. Another used to play in the same amateur team as Wilkins dad and he seems pretty sure too.
Anybody else heard anything or is it just these East Yorkshire pricks trying to wind me up?
Right so we can add Wilkin to HKR in with Cunningham to Leigh, Eastmond to Sale and Wellens to Widnes and Fa'asavalau to RU all rumours I've heard this year.
Along with Long, Gilmour and Cayless. We'll have plenty space on the cap next year.

We have signed Lola... L.O.L.A la la la la lola.... though, hence we needed to ship out 9 players.

IMO he isn't good enough. He's great in a team who is putting 50 points on teams but when the game is tough and close he goes missing.
To be fair he does tackle but that's all our back row seem to do these days.'"
I can think of several games which show that this is the purest source of bollox to have been found on RLFANS.com for a while, not least the Leeds matches this season.

| Its true, Wilkin hasn't been taking the ball carrying, playmaking responsibilty we all know he can, but I don't blame him at all. I just reckon he's doing what his coach is asking of him.
If Potter wanted him to be playing more of a Sinfield role, he would be doing - and he'd be doing it very well. I wish he would, but maybe Potter wants all our forwards to be mucking in while our front row is struggling.

| Quote: saint billy "How can he possibly show his ball handling skills in a team that plays 5 drives and a kick? Because that's all Potters tactics are. The only time we look like scoring is when we pass the ball out, and be a little adventurous, however, that's not Potters tactics and its e.'"
You can't go wide if you're not going forward, and you can't go forward if you've only got one prop.
