A word of caution in that those drawings haven't been touched in two years, have a look at the last revision date 22.05.07.
In fact the architect has actually moved office since they were produced.

They did say at one point that the standing would be in the corners. 
It is strange that they have seperated one of the main sides rather than an end for the away supporters.
The size layout and seat/standing proportion looks pretty good. |

That was part of the doomed old plans by Howard Morris and co. that never had a cat in hell's chance of going ahead, because we were close to bankruptcy.
I think its always been said that standing areas would be behind the posts in the current proposals.

Your probably right. Morris' plans did always seem very pie in the sky. Memory is playing tricks on me in my old age. |

Most ground have the away section as the seperate bit we seem to have one of the sides.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

3,800 standing at each end so guessing we'll work similar to DW/JJB with the end and maybe a couple of blocks of seats on one side up to 5000ish |

Thats very good I feel there has never been quite a big enough allocation for us at your place for some games, although won't be big enough for Hull KR. I am rather chuffed in a strange way that saints are getting a new stadium, for none rugby league fans turning on sky sports and looking at the best team super league has to offer and then see them playing at KR it makes the sport look small but saints in a new stadium will be great for the sport IMO. No doubt your crowds will go up as a result of the new stadium as well if you continue your current success. Saints are a good examle of how a club should be run IMO I wish we were getting our own stadium. Lets hope we can catch up and saints and Wigan can be at the top of the game once again. |
