Ashurst, for mine, could be the next Clough (in so much as he develops well) or could stagnate at a Mike Bennett level. Either way, I am a fan of his. Good lines, needs to tighten the defence up a bit, but overall, for his first appearances, is doing well.

Ashurst has looked decent enough in the 1st team.

Did you ejaculate tonight? Are you not now warm enough in the post Saints-defeat glow to stop posting this tripe?
All of them are better than the wasters in your own side, I know that. Dean and Ashurst are still very young for forwards and Bryn is a very solid prop.

| serious question. Long has been a dagger in the heart of Bradford for years. So, once he goes, who is his natural successor? His kicking game has been consistently top notch with only Briers challenging (a country mile better than Deacs). Once he goes, you are going to have to buy - there is no-one there now in his class

| Sorry to have to say this but Cunningham was absolutely gash tonight. His performance and Longy's missed kicks were the difference.
Bratfud hung on in there and never gave up.
Reserving comments on the referee's performance until I've seen the replay.

Not only saddened are you but just sad.
Incidentaly a team not too far from both of us i.e. Dire are a team full of wasters what you seem to have missed tonight was a Saints team thinking they only needed to:
a) first of all just turn up
b) then having the termenty of points scored against them then deciding they should up their game
c) coming unstuck when Bratfud decided to have a go back
= complacentcy - no excuse for underestimating and disrespecting the opposition
d) deserved to lose
What planet are you broadcasting from and don't say the Planet Sense.
God bless you. Hic!!!

Longy was awful, but it was one game, you just expect him to retire after one bad performance.

Eastmond had tonsilitis, which was damned inconvenient of him I have to say. Honestly, what with Tony P puking and Gidley hobbling, what kind of team do we have?

Eastmond could have been the spark we needed to win that game in the last 10 minutes.

| I'd definitely play long if fit against pies, his best performances are against them.
None of us know if he is staying for next year, the same with KC. If he is then keep playing him, if he is retiring, or moving on then start to play less and give eastmond some game time.
As said above though play him against wigan every time, they fear him big time.

| Quote: Saddened! "So we are planning on waiting until Long retires in order to see if the kids are capable? Strange way to do things.'"
That's a very good point and 1 I've been saying for a long time.
I don't think we should get rid of long even tho he is avin his worst season for many years but I don't think he should have got straight back in the starting line 13 after his injury.
He should have been on the bench and made to fight for his scrum half spot.
It would have sent message to the players that they need to fight to get back in the team and also shows the kids if ya play well you stay in the team.
I honstly think eastmond is good enough to keep long out.
Pitty we not got top class young 2nd row to keep wilkin out!
