He's getting on in years and has had a few long term injuries in the last couple of years.

For mine I would say he flattered to decieve. When I first saw him I thought he would be a lightening winger. But he never seemed to be able to let fly with his pace.

He is an honest grafter though and will have a good work ethic, with run through a brick wall for the team and get his head taken off a few times in the process.

Ade has consistently been one of our top try scorers (8th top in Super League I believe) and has always given of his best each time he's appeared. During the past couple of seasons he's struggled a bit with injury but he's always been a great credit to our team and his work ethic can't be faulted. Take him, he's well behind swift and makinson for a wing spot, without an injury crisis he'd be nowhere near the 19 let alone 17

Strong finisher close to the line, there's not many as good at squeezing over in contact, trucks the ball up admirably, but lacks any pace or panash.

When his confidence is up, he'll handle kicks well, but he has some really off days on that front.

Which ever club Ade G signs for , we wish him well.

The difference now makinson and swift play as a pair is huge. A sense of excitement every time either of them get the ball. Neither of them is Quirk , Sullivan or Albert yet but they are exciting to watch.

Plenty respect for Ade from me , I appreciate the effort he's put in for the club over the years but it's time to go. He has benefited from playing outside some fine centre's but for me has never been anything but average. I think he will be surpassed in the records by Swift who looks like a real prospect and possibly even Makinson who has the thing Ade sadly lacks.. pace

Ade has done well over the years, always like the way he ran the ball back (done that more than some of the forwards). I can't see him getting back in the team though.

I think there's some unwarranted criticism & revisionism going on about Gardner. He's a player who, though never a world beater and had a frustrating reluctance to take on a player on the outside, never given less than 100% for the club. I'm never comfortable when players like that get the sort of sneering criticism some have expressed in this thread.
