He absolutely killed us today and did nothing to st Helen's. If the rumours I hear are true, I hope that complaint comes round very quickly.

Truth is the penalty count was 9-1 in saints favour in the first half. In the second half it was 10-1 in Widnes Favour. You cannot fault him for sending off Cross, it was a horrible tackle.

Despite that for 65 minutes the only try you could muster was from a kick. Great Saints defence and a good 2 points, thanks Ben Cross.

I would be fascinated to know how it would have finished without the dismissals.. 5-4?

The sending off was right, but not too sure about Clarke's sinbin. I've seen the highlights, and you can't even see Clarke. Either way, we've got the 2 points and we're off the mark!

Clarke was sent off for dissent.Had a right go at the ref after he had sent Cross off.
The fight was put on report and I would expect a ban for someone from Saints purely for retaliation.
I really don't see what the ref could have done different.
Widnes threw the game away when Cross and Clarke were sent off.It was their own fault and they knew it.Saints were there for the taking and they failed.Blaming the ref is only covering up their own failiure

It's not our fault we got the 50/50's in this game but Cross cost Widnes the game, I was never really worried we'd lose but it was tight, To clap him off the way they did was laughable after he let his team down.
Quick question..when Widnes did the short drop out and Lomax dropped on the ball, he knocked it on right in front of the ref, Did it go back or did he just miss it?

The ref was not event THAT bad.

He was. Your lying on in the tackle in the first half was abysmal but you never got penalised. The penalty count did even itself out, only because we got about 4-5 penalties in the last 15 minutes after the game had basically been decided by sending us down to 11 men. We held on 4-4 for 70 minutes with the ref against us.

Congratulations on your win, 2 points is 2 points. A lot of people I've spoken to after the game think saints will struggle this year, I'm not so sure. I'd like to think as a widnes performance we played very very well but still got beat by your lot so you can't be all that.

I think we will improve week on week and hopefully beat kr next week

People really do get carried away with one or two games. The fact is Widnes pushed us closer last year in the game that finished 27-26,

In that case Widnes have gone backwards already.

The reality is it will take a couple of months to see which teams have the real steel about them this year, this early stage is about grinding out the 2 points.
