harlequins nothing to play for, castleford play-off spot to go for. i am alot more confident than any saints fan. wire players also competing for play off places in the team as our team doesn't choose itself.

Spoke to some Quinns fans before the game on Saturday, asked we can win by 60, they agreed to let us have 50. TBH I can see us getting beat by 4........ and then Cas doing Saints by 12!!!!!

.
then I woke up!

The whole thing about who finishes 2nd is almost an irrelevance.
The play-off game will be Saints v Wire (or Wire v Saints), and as Wire's record against Saints is, sadly, pretty much identical on either ground, I can't see that the venue will make much difference.
If Wire win that match, it will be because we're currently good enough, not because of which piece of turf we play on.

indeed. it would be nice to be at home, but I dont think that it makes that much difference where it is played. The best team on the day will win the game, regardless of where it is played.

It is likely anyway that both teams will meet in the Final Eliminator too.

I'd prefer to finish third myself. I don't want our lads risking yet more injury just so that we can play Wire at home. We have to play someone at home anyway so what's the point in getting all hyped up about it? So long as we beat Cas, I don't care. Let Warrington have second by 100 points if they want it!

They are either rough from being steaming all week celebrating, or Tony Smith is thinking that the game being home or away doesn't matter as much as your best players being fit and healthy for the run in. I'd probably go with the latter, and I would agree with him if so.

I agree, the first Saints/Wire match will be a letdown wherever it`s played, top 6 play offs was the right amount.

Agreed, you would think beating a team once in a play off, would be enough.

An example Saints 80-0 Warrington first game, Saints 20-22 Warrington (Controversial Penalty) second game..........Warrington go through.

Serious question. Are you worried about having to face us, twice probably?

With our pathetic record against you in SL, you could be forgiven for relishing the game(s) to come, but how much doubt is there in your minds when you see the way we played against Leeds, whilst also knowing that our run HAS to come to an end at some point. That elimination semi final could be a proper nail biter and a fitting good bye (riddance in our case icon_smile.gif) to Knowsley Road.
