As I said to Saddened, perhaps rugby league is not for you if you find it so boring. Or perhaps you would prefer the amateur game. I don't know the answer.

I didn't find Saints boring last season (although some did) but then I supported the development of our young players and so was always enthusiastic to see them give it their best, which they always seemed to do. This season we have just become more and more boring as the season has progressed to the point now where I opted out of attending or even watching the Warrington game, for instance, because I preferred to watch the Olympics. That was the first home game I had missed since 2007, including friendlies. I almost didn't go tonight because I wanted to watch the wheelchair basketball as it was a lot more exciting to watch than Saints (regardless of who they are playing or whether they win, lose or draw). That I went to the match was solely down to the fact that I have a season ticket and it was the last game of the season and I wanted my money's worth. Ha! No chance of that, but I went anyway.

I would much rather be supporting Wakey at present. They are a ton more entertaining to watch and are actually fighting for a place, which will make following them a rollercoaster ride at present (much the same as we had last season). We are so far from entertaining as to be on Mars and all the people around me tonight were asleep by halftime. Either that or so bored they were chanting anti-Wigan songs.

You are spoilt by all of the success we have had in the Super League era. What we need is a REALLY bad season, so you can appreciate how good our situation is.

I can't believe you didn't attend the Warrington game, of all games. Was a great contest.

Hope next season will entertain you more.

We are so poor it's untrue.

The last month of games has been atrocious.

Truly what has happened to the "Entertainers"? Our rugby is so non rugby it's unbelievable.

Try watching rugby union. You would appreciate us more after that.

That's a stupid thing to say. Utterly ridiculous.

Strangely enough I thought tonight had the feel of a rugby union match. Except we couldn't kick.

Took my girlfriend to her first match tonight. She still has no clue what a halfback is.

Why?

You are disillusioned with the team... when we are 3rd in the league.

But in reality we are in that BAD season now, yes we are 3rd but that isn,t an indicator how good we are but how bad the standard of superleague is.
I,m usually one of the few optimistic fans on here but even I have been compelled to join the "boring brigade".
Don,t know if you have watched Saints over a long period but we are not playing rugby the "saints way" often a difficult brand of rugby to defend against.

This season we are so lateral and predictable, its a 2 club superleague this season, we are just the best of a bad bunch. Yes we are spoilt by previous success but the standard has been slipping for the last 4 years. If you personally accept this then OK, other members don,t, and judging by all the fans sat around me last night the majority thought it was unacceptable as well.

Whilst we don't seem to be playing well at the moment, we were in a similar situation last year and look how that turned out in the playoffs...we seemed to coast last night not going all out at times but always knew game was in bag.

Silverwood didn't help, his constant whistle blowing for both teams stopped either really getting a roll on and that does contribute to it being such a poor game.

Even if we don't make it to OT this year, looks like a 3rd place finish in SL with 2/3 of the season being coached by an academy coach and a bloke with no prior coaching experience and I think that's a decent achievement...Especially when looking back to the bulls game at odsal when I said I would have settled for anywhere in top 6.

2012 has been a difficult year for us with moving to the new ground, not having a recognised coach etc and I think a better judgement on where we are going to be moving forward will be next year when NB comes in...just think we should try and stay behind the lads moving into the playoffs rather than slating them - after all I would take boring games all day long if it gets the job done and could bring the trophy home
