The Ref got it wrong by putting him on a charge and giving the penalty under the posts. You got 2pts for nothing.

It was a penalty. If it happened at the 50 yard line it would be a penalty and if it happened at the in goal it is a penalty. I am struggling to see why you can't grasp that.
A player attacking the head of a payer in the act of grounding a ball (whether intentional or not) is a penalty, and, thus, an 8 point try. Simples.
Also, Although it could be argued that Bradford beat a team. It actually seems like Saints were beat by a team that was missing 12 players and hadn't won at home all season. oops!

If Whitehead had been knocked out would Foster have been off?
The circumstances may have been different, but when Raynor knocked Tomkins out in the CC it was red. He made a lot more contact, but he was going to knock the ball out (if Fosters entitled to try and kick the ball, surely Raynor was allowed to have a try at knocking it out) both missed and connected with the head.

Just watched both incidents on the superleague show. The kick to the head was a penalty. The Elima tackle was late, he hits with his entire upper body, and his elbow is pointing down. 1 Match ban. If the ref had balls he probably should have sin binned him, then it would've been punishment sufficient.

Foster does kick the ball though. I'm still struggling to see when he actually makes contact with Whitehead (though I am on no doubt he does), penalty, 8 pointer. Raynor swung a fist which missed the ball by a metre, no comparison. |

With his knee as Whitehead turns. Total accident, as Foster said on Twitter he is good friends with Whitehead and toured with him for international games. |

So during regular play, not in the act of scoring, if an attempt to dislodge the ball by Kicking instead of making a tackle was used by a saints player and he didn't quite get the ball with his foot, he is allowed to knee a player in the head?

Players get all sorts of injuries from accidental collisions made in the act of tackling unless you are suggesting he would deliberately knee somebody in the head.
Why would anyone want to apply an invented rule to saints players only?  |
